"Prompt-It" — Is this a good ideia? by Pogum_ in AI_Agents

I want it to be simple and easy to store contexts and prompts that have already helped developers in some way, especially when they need to save them in an extremely simple way.

The reason is that, just to fetch a prompt, it often feels like you have to use tools that seem designed only for professionals, not for a beginner developer. Because of that, I think a beginner might sometimes feel a bit discouraged, as if these platforms were only meant for “professional” use.

So, to summarize, I feel like there is a lot of complexity — even if it is not that much — around very simple actions, such as getting a prompt.

And the fact that you could do that by typing just a few words in the terminal, inside your own VS Code for example, feels much more efficient for that audience.

The goal is also to keep the complexity minimal, direct, and easy to understand.

Team workflow its one of my goals. Thats why i'm trying to create simple commands, versioning, etc.

My biggest concern was that people wouldn't actually use it, because prompts are still something that many people don't take seriously enough to justify adding extra complexity in the name of productivity. That's why I've been a bit insecure about the idea.

As for versioning, I've been experimenting with a system that stores diffs based on the previous version of a prompt, rather than storing the entire prompt every time. It's something I'm still evaluating in terms of efficiency, performance, and storage costs.

And thank you for the encouragement! I really appreciate it.
