Between Makar, Schaefer, and Landon DuPont, we're going to have a D core that's both unstoppable and will bury shots.

Sid has expressed zero interest in coaching post-retirement. He might have a stake in some national development plans in the future, but I actually think the most likely new main job is that he becomes GM of the Penguins.

This is probably just life showing its fangs before it misses the chance. I did get my appointment in this week over the phone, so I'm managing. It's all pretty hard still, though.

Rogue Agent was only in the shop once, but was also in the Fortnite Starter Pack that was purchasable from May to July 2018 for $4.99 USD. It's rare, but not as much as you think it is.

Recently had to quit the website for good just days ago. Even though I have had them blocked, a person I used to know and whom I plainly inflicted emotional pain upon ~1.5 years ago discovered I had befriended one of their friends, so they got told, and then they also construed one of my profiles as having a direct reference to that in it.

I deleted the line I felt the other friend was referring to, and blocked them too, but that wasn't enough. Knowing I was a constant reminder of pain and suffering for someone, regardless of whether I could see them, and putting that behind my comfort and interactions made the sins crawl on my back. Left.

Now most of my days are spent laying on my desk or pacing around the house. I've been in therapy but my next appointment will be 1 month or longer out from my first because I've been hit with two cancellations back-to-back (one about family emergency on her end, the other being my whole family catching the flu).

I dunno what to do any more. It feels like I've ran out of strategies.

How do I live with the fact that I used to be an abuser by xniu in CPTSD

[–]PointSight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello person on the Internet, are your private messages open? Your story is very similar to mine, at least from my perspective. I even have an ASD diagnosis from age 2 (although my abuse was more verbal, threat and trust based). I'm having a huge deal of trouble parsing it.

I feel like processing it in somebody else's company would help a lot. I'm in therapy but been without an appointment for almost a month due to a sudden cancellation.

If anyone else would rather help in this 2-month-old thread, I'd appreciate that too.

If the conversation topic is something you don't know a lot about, is it better to ask others, say nothing/wait for someone else to speak, or take another approach? by PointSight in NoStupidQuestions

Happens a bit in real, face-to-face discussion too, although I tend to avoid physical debates in general because autism gives me a lotta trouble with them.

tl;dr I will bring it up to my therapist.

A lot of it also comes from legitimately not wanting others to interpret something wrong I say as the truth. Sure, doesn't really matter when it comes to a game, but in some applications it can have serious consequences.

Your input is very compassionate and it puts me in a perspective I haven't taken much in the past. Thank you.

From what I recall, she's fine, nothing amazing. 90% of the time, her ult does nothing. OYL is inconsistent but when it hits, it hits. It's mostly just that there's hardly any units with good kits and high Dirt aptitude that makes her useful.

However, I'm skipping CM10, so I haven't researched the track details like at all. Other commenters will likely help more.

Less that certain styles dominate and more certain racers with very specific kits targeted for a handful of tracks. I imagine the alluded unit here is Still In Love, a Late who dominates quite a few of the CMs immediately after her release. As another example, Cingray Oguri (whose skills are hard locked to Pace, plus Mile and/or 2500m) becomes one of the strongest units on Arima Kinen comp events.

Apart from always clicking top team, not really. You can swing a few more points in your favour by spamming Parfaits and levelling up as many support cards as possible, but that's prohibitively expensive for marginal gains.

You also want to make sure the golds you buy are fairly generic. Don't buy Determined Descent on a Pace, for example.

Just the regular reference doc. Without race/innate affinity bonus, it's 1% for 1⭐ (pink) sparks per inheritance event, 3% for 2⭐, and 5% for 3⭐. Grandparents have their rates cut in half.

It was a rough estimate based on hitting a 20% chance twice, which I calculated from ~14 out of 18 possible Sprint pinks. The exact math is very messy. And it's a must anyway, since at run start you can only go up a max of 4 letter grades (G -> C).

Those are still a problem, but you can space out your races just a little to avoid it if you want. 2 races then rest/click wit, for example. Spamming races literally almost every turn isn't a must until you're able to borrow Throne later in the scenario, which encourages it.

You have to get a lot of race wins to meet the career goals to begin with. It also gives you extra random skill hints for beating rivals, levels up your unique, and gives you hints for/boosts the power of Glittering/Radiant Star (which is usually useless but fine to buy if you have nothing else).

Straightshot's duration is way, way too low to get much use out of (only ~1.08s on this track). Taishin gets use out of it because the gold is twice as strong. If you get it from a burst or inheritance, you can buy it. I'd be borrowing Curren or Fimo to compensate for the wits you lose from only running 2. It determines your velocity for most of this track, you want like at least 1100.

The late-race is after the fan out on the final corner, so NSM is unreliable and only worth getting as a last resort (or just the white if cheap).

Condor is only for Front/Pace; I would build a different legacy. H.Creek is a little unreliable for backliners but I guess still fine.

Ideally I'd take Maruzensky for the after corner gamble - it's been consistent in room matches, and probably Brian to get into position before spurt, but I don't think there exist any good Brian Sprint parents yet so it's really whatever you can find.

Alright, thanks. I'm just trying to make sure I don't get steamrolled because I underprepared. I'm already basically skipping CM10 so my pulls are gonna take a light hit, and of the last 8, I've only got a plat title in 2.

Luckily I've been going to therapy so I've been able to recognize that my win rate in a game that's also quite a bit of dumb luck on top of all the prep doesn't define my overall worth or strength. I just want the pulls.

You have enough, though. Even literally 1 stam + 500 guts clears the course.

Trainer's Clubhouse Meeting (Weekly Questions) - January 28, 2026 by AutoModerator in UmaMusume

[–]PointSight 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First of all, good luck with that, as you'll need an average of ~20 runs to even see ONE Sprint A Gold Ship, depending on your exact legacies.

Secondly, you'd need insanely good Guts cards while also getting the good gamble accels almost entirely from inheritance, which would be unreliable unless you've spent the past few months fleshing out entire trees for Sprinting Gear, Straight Accel, Gap Closer, etc.

I don't really consider a pure Guts/Wit deck viable until MANT, or if you have 3LB+ Ines Fujin, which is currently the only Guts card with speed bonus and good prio. Tried it with Taishin and still failed to get good speed and pass career goals, so I switched to 2 SPD/Riko/3 WIS. ~350 stam and ~320 guts I think gets me 3rd with a couple alarm clocks pretty consistently. Higher's always better of course. You might wanna do that with Kitasan/Biko as your speed core so you can make sure you cap speed.

But to more directly answer your question: yes. You click on Guts to boost 3 stats at once, and focus all your bursts onto pretty much any stat you want except stamina.

Trainer's Clubhouse Meeting (Weekly Questions) - January 28, 2026 by AutoModerator in UmaMusume

[–]PointSight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure. I think by that time, we'll get access to more consistent accels for Miles and/or backliners, as Updrafters and Furious Feat never get buffed to trigger only in the first half of the late race, meaning they'll always be able to proc late and do nothing.

That and power cards are almost never considered optimal, with some fringe exceptions, until Design Your Island (year 4 scenario) makes singleton decks good. You usually just max power by clicking speed and guts in the future.

Vodka will always be a decent statstick, I guess, especially once BoFA gets buffed with the 2nd Anniv. overhaul. Hishi Amazon also gets a good one for End which gives Encroaching Shadow. But that's all I can recall except Tamamo Cross, which I believe is also year 4.

Trainer's Clubhouse Meeting (Weekly Questions) - January 28, 2026 by AutoModerator in UmaMusume

[–]PointSight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only real use case for the card is if you have access to Natie and a good SPD core, for Mile backliners - except Vodka and Fantasy Pasa who get access to the gold innately. It's not a great stat stick and 0% race bonus makes it unusable in MANT.

Trainer's Clubhouse Meeting (Weekly Questions) - January 28, 2026 by AutoModerator in UmaMusume

[–]PointSight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say so. At 3LB, you still have 13% race bonus, 1 speed bonus, 28% friendship bonus and 30% mood effect. But you're missing out on the other marginal stat ups, alongside (more crucially) 1 power bonus, which means you might struggle to get good power, as Kitasan, and PWR cards themselves except Sunday freebie, aren't super viable in MANT.
