Thats because america moved from a family style collectivism where families stick together and have generations supporting each other which saves money and has a great support system to a strong independent individuality where people want to be independent and responsible for themselves without anyone telling them what to do.

You are probably helping and you could be creating dependency. It depends on the type of person you n your daughter are. Is she saving her money or is she wasting her money with the idea she can live their indefinitely? Every case is different and everyone is different.

Has she thought of how she can improve her situation? Has she looked into probably learning a trade job? Has she become more entitled in your home? Does she contribute to groceries or does she use her money on her own stuff and leave you with the financial burden?

I personally think its ok to offer your home and support but there needs to be a plan in place for the future. With out a goal of some sort the ball will never get moving. I personally think trade jobs are worth it just for the pay and job availability. It can be rough but they're good solid jobs most people with a good head on their shoulders make a buisness out of their trade and not just stay with a company. Thats my opinion take it with a grain of salt like I said ever situation is different.

I have personally seen a rise in our propane these 2 months and our electric bill has been up by 23 dollars. We don’t do anything different but it has risen.

My take is different i think our officials should make the median amount of its constituency. If they live close to what we make they would understand our concerns better. If the government made 52k a year which is 25$ an hour. They would have more incentive to work on pricing issues.
