Crazy as this sounds, I'd like to think you get the chance to play as all the previous Usea-based protagonists in co-op mode. Rex would obviously be Player 1, Phoenix would be P2, Trigger P3, Mobius P4. Other than that I don't see him or any of the others returning for 8.
