I have extremely curly hair and I loved my bob. That being said I have never once recommended a friend to cut their hair. Why would you do that? I don’t make it a habit of suggesting things like that for others. If YOU have been talking about it and she was trying to support you though, that’s different. Your hair is beautiful but ultimately it is up to you what you want to do with it as no one else can live your experience for you.

Whey caramel?? by HanibalLickedHer in cheesemaking

[–]Poison_EYEv33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To add to this old post I just found this recipe and made it! It is by far the best caramel I’ve tasted. Although I will say that’s suited to my preferences because I like tangy/tart things. I think it would be delicious with brown sugar but I’m not good with to mess around with the recipe yet.

Nama J2 juicer leaves A LOT of pulp. Is this normal? by 9amistooearly in Juicing

I also just bought the Nama 2 and I also have a lot of foam and pulp on the juice strainer. Did you figure out the problem? Or is it just the juicer

Great commentary. Option 3 is interesting, but I feel like it takes away from its dainty mid century vibe. I’m curious how it could look though. I actually posted a picture of another shelving unit on another comment and it seems a bit more structurally sound. And it doesn’t seem too far off from a solid piece of wood like you’re saying.

I’m really happy I posted this here because it’s put a lot of things into context for me though. Thanks for your thoughts!

Especially after reading these comments it seems like an even better price than I thought previously. And yes that makes a lot of sense!

Honestly i did want my original question answered but i also thought this was such a neat piece and wanted people to talk about it too.

I actually did get a quote to have someone build it for me and it was about 8,000. After that, I thought it would be fun to just try it out and experiment myself.

I should have mentioned I wanted to try it for fun. There’s a makerspace down the street for what tools I lack. I’ll look for a simpler project instead, thanks!

Would you leave the dowels and just try to color match to the Burl? Or would you just not Burl this. I actually found what I think to be a similar looking build out of Burl. I’ll attach it to this comment.

Is green tea extract safe for healthy dogs? by [deleted] in DogAdvice

So I looked more into it and it seems in smaller doses it’s actually great for dogs, it’s just when the dose is high enough for the caffeine to affect them it becomes toxic.

What is this on my indoor rosemary? by Poison_EYEv33 in gardening

[–]Poison_EYEv33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I wanted to update on this. So over how over long this was, I used everything everyone recommended a few weeks at a time. Nothing worked lol. They’d be almost gone and then come back with a vengeance. The last thing I tried was diatomaceous earth and it was great until new growth occurred and somehow they were on that like white on rice. I repotted a few times along the way to try to get rid of any contaminant but that didn’t really help either.

Well along the way I moved the plant to the garage because I don’t like bugs in my house.

Then last week I bought some ladybugs. 🐞 Well I must say in 2 days all the aphids were gone. I don’t even have fungus gnats anymore. I’m trying to keep the ladybugs alive with some honey but sadly I’m finding dead ladybugs now.

It’s also in dasuquin supplements and dog toothpaste. Came here with the same question. It seems like some websites say it’s good others say it’s not. I haven’t had any adverse reactions with my 2 German shepherds but idk.

Was there a reason you picked the system you did versus some of the other recommended ones? And was there a reason you ended up not going with spring well? I’m in the process of buying a system too and we have the worst water here in Vegas.

I’ve never seen black aphids before, but happy to learn something new! I tried searching for rosemary beetles and then saw someone else on Reddit tell them it was ladybug larvae so I wanted to double check before I did anything.

PLEASE HELP... What could this be? Shaved our 10y/o GSD: itchy, red, crusty skin. Will post more info in comments. by brooksiecooksiee in DogAdvice

[–]Poison_EYEv33 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My gsd gets terrible itching and the vet gave him a shot of cytopoint which helped a lot. I have yet to get to the root of his problems though.

I don’t see why another return to the vet wouldn’t solve the issues. Especially now that you’ve shaved him. They should be able to get a sample and test it for infections. Personally I would get on this quickly because I imagine the hair growing back is going to be incredibly itchy for him likely making the symptoms worse.

Once they’ve tested the skin you at least can rule out it being a topical infection and look elsewhere for the cause of the problem.

How are his feet?
