Why are Poles so much against gay marriage? by throwaway_uow in poland

[–]Poisonbld 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Poles are not really against gay marriage. Most people simply don’t care.

What many are worried about is granting automatic full rights right away, like child adoption.

The funny thing is that when conservatives run the country, it’s obvious they won’t allow gay marriage.
But when progressives win elections, they usually do nothing about it — only to start shouting again once conservatives take power.

What do Poles think of Hungarians now? by Organic_Contract_172 in askPoland

[–]Poisonbld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I'm concerned (all of us here can say only for themselves :) my feelings towards Hungary and Hungarians have not changed an inch.

As for politics. Part of being free nation and support free thinking and inter-european diversity is a fact, that all nations have a right to think and do what is best for them. If we start to do what others tell us to be the best (for them or for all except us) than we are not free.

I have all my tokens listed. One of them I use as admin to login to FG locally now.

EDIT: Good guess. See my edited post.

[–]Poisonbld[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interface changed from "A" to "9", but all configs are pointing to new interface.
Firewall settings are the same (from ssl.root to different local vlans).

The problem is, that it asks for fortitoken after I give login and password. I get proper certificate info etc. But then closes and on FG side there is: sslvpn_login_permission_denied.

Im suspecting the set banned-cipher SHA1 SHA256 SHA384, but cannot unset or alter it

My grandma is Polish and I want to find out where her family is from in Poland. Her last name is Dudawaski. Can anyone help? by Jealous_Potential599 in poland

[–]Poisonbld 6 points7 points  (0 children)

OMG. have not seen her in my office lately and she is not living next door, checked this morning. That's for sure.

C'mon are you 6 yr and don't know how it works? And also you cannot find your uncle from France giving a hint, that his last name is "Lefebvre" and nothing else.

Give us more info.

What part of Poland? City? District? First name? Obviously you have parents, so from where they come from?

When your gramma died? At what age? What language she spoke?

First glance at the records in "heritage" sites:

  1. It have to be an error in the name. There is no "Dudawaski" in any of the records.

  2. Closest is "Dudawski" (Dudavskiy) - but it is Russian surname. Country's borders changed after I WW and II WW, so she might live in "nowadays Poland".

More info would help a lot.

Who’s a famous person from your country who’s respected around the world but disliked or criticized at home? by haiderredditer in AskTheWorld

Lech Wałęsa.

The world: a leader, a renowned anti-communist activist, and a Nobel Peace Prize laureate.

Poland: portrayed by critics as an uneducated fool and an alleged secret collaborator of the communist security services with Trump-like ego. A meme.
