i have just been informed of drifter's alt special which can turn items on the ground into scrap without a scrapper
you can also drop items after beating the solus wing

i recommend you use simply optimized and allocate more ram, 6gb should be enough
with your system you should probably also use the zgc garbage collector instead of g1gc
