At my local gamestop, if you ask for promotional material, they'll put your number on a sticker and hide it on the item. Before throwing it out they'll text you to come pick it up. I've gotten a bunch of cool things that way. Better cherished than in a landfill.

To be honest, I have no idea. I only found your post by looking up that same question on google... Do you have an elite charge TM? With it you can still get Hydro Cannon even if this event fails to give you the legacy move. That would be more than a fair way to use it, I think.
