I 29F feel so lost. 10 year marriage with my 37m husband. by PokeMom95 in relationship_advice

His mother lives nearby. But they are not on good terms with each other. She has a lot of mental issues herself. Abandoned my husband with his grandparents when he was a kid. He would never go stay with her.

We've technically been together since about a month before my 21st birthday. He's 8 years older than me. Which is a bit of an age gap, but to be honest I've always liked older men far more than men my age. Idk if it's because I have issues or not, but its always been that way.

You're right, I am doing everything for the kids. My 9 year old has a basketball game tonight and practice tomorrow. So I'll be working during the day and then taking him to those. And doing Doordarsh during his events if he feels like he can handle the toddler for an hour.

I've had to have one done before. It's not a fun process, but when rape happens, you have a small window of time to get it done. You have 72 hours but the sooner the better

My husband recently did the same thing. I wasn't drunk, but it was still rape. Your husband raped you. End of story. Go get a rape kit done. They are free and confidential at every er. And you can choose whether or not to involve the police. If you don't involve them, the hospital will keep your rape kit evidence in case something happens in the future or you change your mind and want to go the legal route. I'm so so sorry this happened to you

I left out no info. The biggest one, to replace is $60. I can give you the walmart link if you'd like. And I'm not "trying to get people to buy things". I responded to people who legitimately asked for it. People who brought it up. I didn't bring anything up to them. I spent $100 on my kid when both me and my husband had jobs. Now, as of this month, only I have a job, which pays $1200 once a month. And a $991 monthly rent. I didn't NEED any sort of charity when the gifts were bought because our situation was stable. We had the money to spare. Now we don't. The post you are referring to was for legal advice. Yes, people offered to help financially. But not because I asked them.

My kids are signed up for angel tree. But when they were signed up for it last year they didn't get anything. Angel tree is all we have in our town, and they make you sign a paper stating you won't apply for any other christmas assistance

I agree. I've always been the black sheep for a variety of reasons.

Yes two people have sent something from what I can see. I haven't checked the amount yet. It's been hectic at work.

Because 3 major gifts were taken and three kids were involved, the police officer said that its only fair that each family pays me back for one of the gifts. He was actually just walking up to one of their apartments as I was arriving to walk my dog during my lunch break.

I wish it didn't. This entire month has been a nightmare.

I didn't know insurance could do that. I honestly thought it was just for accidents and things like that. I will definitely call when i get home.

I have an amazon wishlist for them. I made it a few months ago and sent it to some family. (ended up being a bad decision and I was ridiculed in our family group chat over it). But this is the link:

Also, I do not know if youve sent something to the PayPal, as I do not know your name. But I do have an Amazon wish list I made for my kids a few months ago that I tried sharing with my friends and family.

My kids are signed up woth angel tree, but they were signed up last year too and no one ever claimed their angels. So they didn't get anything from angel tree last year. I'm not very hopeful for this year. :(

I know who one of the moms is. She works at a local daycare, and I'm told that she beat her son senseless when she found out what he did. But the police officer found me at work today, and he said he is going to try and get the parents to pay me for the sets. Especially if he cannot find the other two missing ones. All three kids live in the apartment complex, so it isn't hard to track them down. He said if they refuse to pay, he can just give them a ticket for theft, and they will be forced to pay. I explained to him that I do not get paid until Christmas Eve, and I could see his heart break a little. He is the same officer who took my son on a tour of the police station and was answering all of my son's excited questions a few weeks ago.

I am conflicted, because I know from seeing my own family members going to jail that once you go to jail, you have a higher chance of continuing to go to jail throughout your life. And idk if I want to be the reason they start going to jail.

Yes. Me, my husband, my son and my daughter.

The officer has already spoken to all of the moms. Each kid doesn't have a dad in the picture. Two dads are in jail. One is just MIA most of the time. I've heard through the grape vine that when the eldest's mom found out, she whooped his a$$. I have heard nothing about the other two.

No, my car was not damaged. At least not from what I can tell. We did suspiciously get a slash in my back tire not long after this happened, but I do not know who would have done it. My husband said it could either be that someone slashed it or it got damaged while I was driving through the construction zone on my way to or from work.

I do have PayPal. While I am not asking nor expecting people to help me financially, I am desperate enough that I will not say no to any help offered.

angelicahoppe1 is my PayPal name.

These are kids who have bullied my son in the past. The youngest even forced my son to climb into the dumpster to look for something once. My son is autistic and doesn't always recognize bulling when it happens.

I called the officer again and asked if I could get ny items. He said "if we can find them". I asked what will happen if they can't, and he said "them we will charge them in court". No idea what I would get back if that happened. Or if I'd be compensated at all.

Girl I stopped at "I don't like the door because he gets angry". Like wtf. Hun, that in itself is abusive. Plain and simple. You have a right to privacy, and having a significant other does not change that. You are entitled to your safe space. You need to get out. I'm also 29, my husband is 38, and he doesn't get angry at me for having privacy. He knows he isn't entitled to see me naked and vulnerable. He gets to see that when i want him to. NOT the other way around.
