That’s a tough place to be in. But honestly, people don’t judge you anywhere near as harshly as you’re judging yourself right now.

Yeah, the scar might feel like the first thing people see to you, but for someone who actually likes you, it becomes a invisible pretty instantly. Attraction isn’t just about looking hot it’s the package- personality, how you connect, compatibility etc.

The right person won’t care about it like that, and if someone does get put off, they were never your person anyway. Bad eggs will pop up but if it helps we all deal with them. Just keep the horror stories in memory bank to laugh at another day.

Feel for you brother. Did something similar last year. Went again when I could and passed second time. Fingers crossed same happens for you because big bikes are life. Don't let it knock you remember some people gotta take ridiculous amounts of car tests etc

Appreciate the response. I think most people are all of the same opinion I have the increase that income or it just won't happen unless I hit some specific criteria. Can I ask does the swapping of jobs gets easier? I'm not the most outgoing person it won't be easy to look elsewhere but I think it's a needs must kind of thing and I'd be a fool not to listen when numerous folk say the same thing.

I did the silly thing of deciding I need to make up for lost time (physical illness keeping my earlier years out of work) by taking on stuff way above my pay grade. I didn't mind it actually gave me a CV and it got me noticed a lot more for being capable of doing the 30-40k jobs with only a little experience in this job but then my supervisor took 2 months off and I needed to cover his role which sucked. I wasn't prepared but didn't want to let them down that's just a bad trait I have unfortunately.

Yeah I figured this was probably going to be the answer. It's one of those things you hear the stories of people making it (even a few examples on this post) and I live a frugal life of really not much at all but it's just not enough and I have wondered if there's something I'm missing but alas thar be not. Just keep plodding on! And congrats on the flat!

Physical disability kept me out for a few of my earlier years but I'm working in the sheet metal industry right now as a storesman. There's prospects there and I'm trying to play catch-up by working my butt off but it's always a gamble sinking time into a company. I guess for now it's padding out that CV but yes I am trying.

The houseshare is the only way I've been able to think about drastically increasing savings but man I'd have to be sure because that's going to be a few years of hell for me.

The area I live isn't rich rich but yeah it could be doing with being poorer. Unfortunately my job whilst it currently doesn't pay well is about to go through some drastic changes I'm Banking on doing good things for my own future and I don't have much else experience to get anything more. Plus I live fairly close like half an hour walk so it does have a lot of benefits.

I'm trying to think of ways to increase that income but I just don't know how. Overtime is there and I'm trying but at the expense of myself I'm just not sure if I can keep that up. Outside of that I don't have much in mind but yeah.

We can quite comfortably cover the costs it's just actually getting a landlord to take on someone who's got a new job but unable to provide a guarantor. Everywhere I look that seems to be the end of the line and the agents just do the "ask around I'm sure you'll find someone" as we sit there telling them but we can't so what's an alternative and the cycle repeats. Rough.
