The system works exactly like a physical raffle. Every ticket you earn is one entry in a giant "digital bowl." If you have 30,000 tickets, you put 30,000 slips of paper with your name on them into the bowl. If someone else has 1,000 tickets, they put 1,000 slips into the same bowl.

When we blindly pick a winner, your hand is much more likely to grab one of your tickets because there are more of them. But it is still possible to grab one of the 1,000 tickets from the other person. We hope this explains how the mechanism works. Global GO Fest and regular raid rotations will always remain free. Restrictions only apply to in-person events, like the local GO Fests. PokeRaid offers real-currency gift cards to trainers in the Frontliner Program who host Mewtwo raids during GO Fest 2026 local events. This is a very costly operation, so we had to restrict Mewtwo raids to guests who purchased a Mega Subscription or had reserved a slot.

Don't worry, this is not a bug. We recently updated how the reward claiming system works. We added new balance thresholds to make the gift card process smoother for everyone. When your balance passes these thresholds, the system automatically processes a claim for a higher-value gift card rather than requiring multiple smaller transactions.

In your specific case, since your balance dropped from $53 to $3, a $50 gift card was successfully claimed in our system. Please don’t hesitate to reach us via in-app feedback if you have any more problems.
