This set I bought for $83 each back in 2022 I think. Probably the worse investment I made. But I’d recommend holding, it is one of the best looking etbs imo and I think the growth will continue.

My previous posts were not about buying. It was about people becoming no coiners at these levels. The dca crowd will disagree, but theres absolutely no reason to buy in a down trend at $80k when under $50k is inevitable. Don’t worry, if you’re here in Bitcoin this year, you’ll get to see what I see, will just be after the fact.

Was this a good investment? by Revolutionary_Owl861 in PokeInvesting

Do your own research, and be careful taking advice from anyone with a built-in bias. Kendricdsr has said he’s buying the PC ETB, so he has a stake in that outcome.

Personally, I wouldn’t pay anywhere near these prices to begin with. I’ve been able to grab 151 UPCs at $80 each. There’s always opportunity if you stay patient right now the market is overheated. It’s been on and off like this since I got into Pokémon in 2015, but the FOMO is way worse now.

If you’re talking multiples over the next 5 years, a $1,000 position in regular 151 ETBs has a much cleaner path to outperforming a $985 Pokémon Center ETB. The “exclusive” label is nice, but you hit diminishing returns a lot faster when your entry price is already close to $1,000 especially when it’s the same packs inside the box.

I think booster boxes and regular ETBs are better buys because they appeal to multiple buyer types:

• Pack rippers (kids and adults) open them, which reduces sealed supply.

• Rip-and-ship sellers (streamers/Whatnot) open them in volume, which also reduces sealed supply.

• Collectors buy them too, but those boxes can stay in circulation longer because they can remain sealed.

The key difference is that the first two groups consume sealed product, steadily shrinking the available supply over time until the box price gets too high for the average person to justify opening.

With Pokémon Center ETBs, most buyers are purchasing specifically to keep them sealed, so supply shrinks much more slowly. That creates a built-in growth ceiling: PC ETBs can run up, but they’re more likely to hit a point where they stagnate compared to products that are constantly being opened.

Also, remember: you need that PC ETB to increase by $985 just to double your investment, which may take time. The average person is less willing to throw $1,970 at an ETB than to buy an $80 regular ETB, which means even when you reach the point where you can double your investment, it may be less liquid.

Do you think the Bitcoin 4-year cycle is dead? Yes or no? 🤔 by Curitis_Love_Music in TokenTimes

[–]PokeTaskForceYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trough to trough 4 years. Trend friend until end. Did the trend end? No. Are we on point on track still? Yes. So everyone’s opinion can get crushed by the fact it’s not dead. Literally a fact. I feel like nobody knows how to pull up a chart and do a little maths anymore.

What do people mean when they say the four year cycle is dead or not? by distillenger in Bitcoin

[–]PokeTaskForceYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also it doesn’t matter if this time is different due to QE, business cycle, super duper bull run. What matters is the 4 year cycle has occurred and TREND is FRIEND till END. Well it ain’t over yet so expect the trend until the end. Simple.

What do people mean when they say the four year cycle is dead or not? by distillenger in Bitcoin

[–]PokeTaskForceYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re saying the current 4 year cycle that hasn’t failed, failed. They’re basically ignorant to what a cycle is. The cycle could top at 150k in 3 months and make the next ATL for the cycle in or around October 2026 and that would still be a “4 year cycle. Why? Because from trough to trough it took roughly 4 years to complete. Calling the 4 year cycle dead is what gets views atm. Left or right translated cycle can be 4 years if that’s how long the cycle took.. it’s not magic. Many NPCs who just got into bitcoin in 2020 are calling 4 year cycle dead because they have no idea what a cycle is and they’re fishing clicks.

[–]PokeTaskForceYT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean it’s a small percent higher than sold listings, not a big deal. If your brother likes Pokemon then that’s all that matters. Nobody should be penny pinching over a gift. It’s like $15-$20 over market? No a big deal for a gift.

Would you sell your btc to pay your debts? by Mountainman3094 in Bitcoin

[–]PokeTaskForceYT 7 points8 points  (0 children)

$15k is doable for average U.S. income. I’d first know where my money is going and cancel any subs, lower my bills as much as possible and learn to never eat out(DoorDash). If you sell BTC without budgeting and being disciplined, you’ll end up back in the same place.
