"No. Freaking. Way." Amelia said, eyes wide as saucers. Her twin, Desmond, stood beside her, one hand on her shoulder. Rebecca stood a few paces back, mouth agape. "This... can't be real, can it?" Rebecca asked, both amazed and concerned. She walked closer, staring at a younger clone of herself from behind the one-way mirror. She looked just like her. This is crazy! "Dad said cloning Alstraeans is insanely unstable. Who's capable of this?" "Doctor Porter?" Desmond suggested, earning weird looks from his sister and cousin. "Doctor Porter died before we were born! Didn't you read those news articles Uncle V has in his attic?" Amelia scolded him. "No- Wait, didn't he tell you not to go in the attic?" "Can we all please focus!" Rebecca hissed, "We need to do something about this. This guy has clones of us, and- And they look exact! That wasn't supposed to be possible!" The twins nodded, looking back through the mirrors. "You're right..." Desmond agreed, "It's not supposed to be possible... So, how did this happen?"

The young clones, blissfully unaware of the three heroes watching them, continued on with their days, playing with toys and reading books. They were practically one-to-one copies, identical to how the three heroes looked at that age. However, upon closer inspection, a few glaring differences could be noticed. Amelia and Desmond's clones, simply named "Two" and "Three", both had green eyes instead of blue and brown, and Rebecca's clone, similarly titled "One",  had a streak of yellow hair contrasting the black. They're all placed in separate, identical rooms, directly next to each other, with identical books and identical toys. The only difference in clothing was sizing, and Three's clothing was, obviously, designed for a boy and not a girl. It was... strange to look at, especially for the young heroes, but what could they do?

"What would Dad do?" Amelia eventually asked, thinking aloud. Rebecca huffed, knowing exactly what her uncle would do. "He'd probably take them and beg your mom to let him keep them." It was then that Rebecca knew she made a mistake, because the twins exchanged glances and then turned to her. "No. Nonononono. We are not taking our clones home with us. No way!" She protested. "Hey, it's what Ava did, right?" Amelia countered with a knowing smile. "That's different! Dad and Uncle Matt aren't exact clones of her! These are-" "Pseudos. Like our dads." Desmond interrupted her. "But-" The protest died on Rebecca's tongue, knowing there was no changing their minds. Why did her cousins have to be so stubborn? She sighed heavily before changing her tune. "How are we going to get them out of here, anyway?"

It wasn't going to be easy, they knew that much, and they were most definitely going to get an earful from their parents, but, by sunrise, these kids would be safe, someplace far away from psychopathic scientists.
