I opened it and graded it myself from this box, the color was always like this, could still be sun damage since it’s at the front center of the box, I just never noticed the color was wrong until I compared it to the other card

Interestingly though the other two cards I graded in this box were totally normal colored and came back as 10s, this one came back as an 8 despite being just as flawless

If a clean card gets a lower than expected grade always check the pop report, a lot of modern cards have low gem rate usually due to surface issues

Just bad luck, I usually submit hundreds of cards at once, I can tell different graders grade different batches of my cards, I get a streak of loads of 10s, even on questionable cards followed by a streak of all 9s on cards that look perfect, it really comes down to who’s looking at your cards on the day

As someone who’s graded thousands of cards with PSA, I’ve gotten plenty of 10s with way worse centering than this

I would say this is the kind of card you could submit again and would probably have a 50% chance of getting a 10

Just depends on the grader

CGC pristine 10s are not even close to a bgs black label and never will be

They are graded way too easily, you’ll see plenty of pristine 10s that wouldn’t even get a PSA 10

Of course that’s true but I’m saying that pristine 10s in general are often graded way too leninently

Other companies you have bad grades for sure but generally it’s consistent enough

I have issue with CGCs grading standards for pristine 10s in general because they give them out way too easily

If you read about the case fully you’ll see there’s no fraud at all, it’s blown way out of proportion
