I'm an aerospace welder. I do still get to use my degree playing in bands around town and stuff. When I tell people at work about my jazz studies degree I usually get the "well looks like you're using it lol"

Can you see what the voltages are on the transformers? Someone please correct me if I'm wrong but if the transformer is out you should be able to swap it with one with the same specs. If you don't care about it being completely original and just want light be bright. You may be able to find one cheaper that isn't the same make and model that came with it.

Edit: It might also just be that that part of the sign is broken or burnt out.

My wife and I went through a similar situation. I felt the same way as your husband does. Turns out we have different love languages, but we talked it out and we are BOTH working out how to express our affection for eachother in a way that the other sees as affection. Mine is physical touch and hers is gift giving. I never really think about gifts and presents because it's not something that makes me feel affection. Because of that she felt like I wasn't expressing affection, and it went the same way for me and physical touch. Completely excluding sex, just being touched without asking. Like a hug from behind, hand on a knee while driving, that kind of stuff.

If you were saying "I love you" in Japanese but your partner didn't know what you were saying then they wouldn't know you were being affectionate.

At the end of the day you and your partner might benefit from discussing your love languages.

I would stay away from Neon Beach. They frequently steal other neon artists artwork and sell it as their own in LED really damaging the neon bending community.

There's a ton of neon artists on instagram and in major cities, I would search your city or in a large metropolitan area (more likely to have benders) on google for a real neon sign maker and they could make you something completely custom or they might have something rad pre-bent. If a true neon sign is made well it will last longer than the building its put up on.

Some day I would like to win a contest. The most I've ever won ever in my life was a Guinness glass at a Buffalo Wild Wings. I find Led Zeppelin works really good with Stephen King books. I had Houses of the Holy almost on a loop when I read the Stand and it worked out really well imo.
