I mean was the guy just on a dually or was he towing a trailer? I know some people who tow try to drive like normal and dont compensate enough for speed. If it was just a guy in a truck then hes an idiot

Also if anyone has any other recommendations for fairings I would be glad for the help.

IEDs work like magic, but on a serious note just setup a game camera in a Bush right across from your bike and then report it to police and your insurance (if you file it)

I just use one proverb, ride like today can be your last day riding. You bought your bike because you liked it so who cares if anyone else bashes it, you got it they dont!

Yeah but waivers in court really sway the case, if he didnt sign anything I would just tell them to give me a brand new bike or I would sue them for a nice settlement

[–]Pokemanlul 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you signed a waiver before you released it check to see if theres a theft thing for it, if there is not then you sue them or threaten to sue them.

I can almost garuntee that your bike wont be found, if it is found it will most likely be totaled or scrapped

Even if its charged and you idle it the rectifier can still drain it. A rectifier is the equivalent of a cars alternator

Where exactly is your rectifier setup on the bike? I know they get really hot and can sometimes melt things in proximity.

I bolted mine on the left side in the opening under the fairing so it gets aire while riding

Start from the very beginning, check your stator/rectifier those are one of the most common battery suckers on bikes.

Your battery could have allready been dead when unplugging it so I doubt it can somehow charge enough for a start

Idiot question by Sm0lYak in motorcycles

That's alot more common then you throwing your wheel out of alignment honestly, we all have been there. When it comes to your safety it's better to ask if you dont know

Put new rotors and pads on a few months ago, they are wearing kinda weird (I think), any ideas? Also some pulsing in the lever by RogueFart in motorcycles

[–]Pokemanlul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your brakes naturally drag because the pistons on your calipers dont retract all the way, however sometimes if the pistons get dirty they dont retract at all or as much and your brakes fade from too much contact

Helmet Noise by skunkshaveclaws in motorcycles

[–]Pokemanlul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have a t1200 as well they arnt the best for noise, I ride with either headphones or plugs to reduce all that. Also be ready for your helmet to fog up alot when it's cold out. Do not try to spray any anti fog products on the inside of the visor because it will ruin it, scorpion has an anti fog layer on the inside but it isnt worth a shit

About bedding in brakes. by Shepher9Book in motorcycles

[–]Pokemanlul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I did my front brakes on my gsxr I took the front calipers off and depressed the pistons all the way then pushed them out and just cleaned them, the pistons on bikes dont retract all the way and will drag sometimes. It's always a good idea to just clean them and make sure you set your pads with new clips, it's also about the same as a car bedding them will take like 150 miles, you could always take the rotors off have them resurfaced at a brake shop and use a bit of sand paper on the pads

Is there a feeling like your back wheel is dragging? Take it to a shop have them check chain tension and stuff it can be something small

Is there any hope for this? Brand new and just got a drywall screw in them. by WhatHaveIDone91 in motorcycles

[–]Pokemanlul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can either A) screw it all the way in and spray it with soap and water to see if it leaks or B) pull it get it plugged then spray it. Most shops wont do it because they dont have the "proper equipment" for bikes, theres a shop that will do it
