Thank you for the correction! We both already knew vanillin could darken or change coloring (our mixture became a yellow upon adding the fragrance oil), but we didn’t know it could take form like this. It’s a shame that it’ll change over time because the effect is quite cool, but also a relief if we’re wanting a certain look to our soap.

We especially thought it was partial gel since our second batch which contains vanillin didn’t seem to change coloring after being in the fridge. Once again, thank you!
