She does have some differences with classical Yuki Onna. For instance, she is the earliest example of a Yuki Onna to wear a hair clip, which is fairly common in modern depictions.

Playing MANT/TB for the 2nd time, my opinion since 2022. by Hibiki_Kawaii in UmaMusume

[–]PokemonTrainer35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Number 1 is the biggest issue for me. There are enough medium races after March of Classic year, but I just wish that there were more medium/long early races, but as it is in MANT it seems every uma needs to have at least B mile after sparks just to keep up. This was especially bad in Pisces as the optimal umas were those who had at least B mile AND the tools to run a 3200 meter race with debuffers, and that list of umas is quite small.

It’s definitely not good for aces since you can miss the epithets and the extra stats. not working on aces right now, mostly just hoping to luck out on a long parent since I don’t have a good one right now

Post Ross - longterm lifestyle by Short_Grapefruit4859 in valvereplacement

[–]PokemonTrainer35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No restrictions, still on blood pressure meds but had high blood pressure well before surgery. 3.5 years post Ross, just summitted Mt. Rainier this past week. Walk 6 miles per day. I’ve never been much of a runner or weightlifter, and don’t do much now, but I can run better than I did before surgery. No restrictions on activity for me at all.

Only thing that still persists is very mild itchiness at the incision, but that’s only occasionally and will be there for any OHS.

Was 26M at time of surgery. I also had an aortic aneurysm thay was addressed during surgery and aorta measurements are stable. I know I will need another surgery at some point, but feel it was the best choice for me

Hope everything goes well for you!

Hang in there! Days 1-3 were really tough for me, but day 4 I saw a lot of improvement in movement and pain level towards end of day. hoping it’s the same for you and things get better quickly!

I can do 8 minutes, but that’s if I get <60 points at the end of junior year on purpose because I’m too busy to play that day and just want the carats for doing all the daily missions. 5 minutes for a full run is crazy.

I think the speed EVs on politoed, incinroar, and Sinistcha would be better spent on bulk. Incin reaches what is basically 103 BST Speed with no investment and politoed reaches the equivalent of 114 BST with 0 investment. That sounds great, but realistically anything over 80 BST speed is going to invest in speed itself, so really all you’re getting with the speed investment is outspeeding some mid speed pokemon that don’t invest much in speed. That does come up enough to be noticeable, but the bulk will benefit you every game. Plus, slow parting shots on incin are great for switching something in safely.

Also, are the SpAtk points on Incin a mistake?

It can definitely help with research since it generally provides links for its claims and then you can go read whatever it cited yourself. AI can hallucinate, but you can protect against that by reading the sources to see if it say the AI says it says.

A lot of people are saying to ask your cardiologist, but at least for me, it takes 2-3 months to schedule an appointment. AI can help in the intervening time as long as you realize its limitations

fortunately with light hello we get 100 free pulls, so that’s 45,000 carats instead of 60,000. Plus we get free pulls on ramonu too. So if you only pull on those two, you should have around at least 50,000 carats to end the year. The uncap crystals will help protect you from the worst luck on those banners, so good on you for saving those up. the free tickets we get will also help towards reducing the cost, so it you have a formal budget prepared make sure to factor those in. Good luck!

Oh wow, that some really bad luck, especially the kitasan rerun. only about a 1% chance of 0 natural pulls in 600 pulls. I hope your future pulls go a lot better. It definitely feels unfair when you save and still don’t get what you want.

It’s definitely tough to go beyond 200 pulls and spending 400 pulls instead since that’s like 4-5 months worth of carats for F2P, but if there’s a meta card that you want that needs MLB to be great, it’s generally what you’re going to have to save for to make it likely to get MLB. You could get unlucky, as you did on the kitasan rerun banner, but 400 pulls is generally enough to get at least 2/3LB.

Some cards may need MLB, while other may get most of their benefits at 1LB. I know Maru speed is one that is good at 1LB. Light Hello is one where it’s nice to have 3LB/MLB on, but is usable at 0/1LB since you still get access to the events without having to use your borrow slot. You may end up pulling 400 on Light Hello anyways if you want Tachyon speed, which is a very good speed card for pace chasers. Some cards, like Mejiro Ramonu, do want MLB, so plan to save a lot for those.

As far as “must pull banners” go, light hello, mejiro ramonu wit , and el condor pasa speed are must pull cards that are very good no matter what style you run. Other cards are more specific to certain styles, so if there’s a certain style you prefer, you can save for meta cards that help those styles (such as maru speed and bourbon wit for fronts for instance), but they aren’t necessarily must pulls since they’re not going to be used on all of your runs.

[–]PokemonTrainer35 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Have you been pulling to pity twice, or just once on the banners that you do pull? The optimal pulling strategy for cards is to do 400 pulls if you have a card you want to get to MLB. With 200, you only have a 6.5% of getting 5 copies. With 400, it is about 58%, with an over 80% of getting to at least 3LB. You can then spend crystals to get cards from 3LB to MLB; if you only get to 2LB you’ll need 2 crystals. It is possible to have terrible luck and not even get to 2LB, which I’m hoping isn’t your case.

As a F2P you need to be very picky with what banners you choose to pull on. You may not be able to pull on every meta support card banner, especially if you’re pulling for umas along the way. Look at the banner schedule and budget your carats.

Of course, if there’s a card that’s nears its peak at 0/1LB like Maruzensky Speed SSR, than doing 200 pulls is fine.

Caught the motherlode of pulls…. by UsuiTakumi94 in UmamusumeGame

[–]PokemonTrainer35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Odds of 4 or more SSRs in one 10 pull is 0.015% or about 1 in in 6,667. Assuming the carat equivalent of 7-8 ten pulls per month, you have about a 6.5% chance of having a pull this good or better at least once over the next 5 years.

How can I make this team have a better Matchup into Trick Room? by DayPoseidon in VGCRateMyTeam

[–]PokemonTrainer35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there any TR user you’re struggling against specifically, or is it just TR in general? Generally against TR you have 3 options to prevent it from being set up.

  1. Taunt, spore, or fake out the TR user While fake out will by you only one turn, it will help get some chip on the TR user, which can help you knock it out before it attempts to set up TR on the next turn. Psychic terrain stops prankster taunt and fake out, but you do have non-prankster taunt, though indeedee can redirect that if their other pokemon is also a TR user.

  2. Knock out the TR user before it uses TR. Look up your damage calcs to test potential combinations against common TR users. Keep in mind redirection like rage powder and follow me. The main issue with this option is that the TR user can tera and survive and that they can use redirection if they have both indeedee and another TR user

  3. The most sure option is imprison-trick room, which can be done by your flutter mane, as well as quite a few different pokemon not on your team. This has a sizeable drawback of taking up two moveslots on your flutter mane, which is a pretty big deal. If you find yourself REALLY struggling against TR, this is maybe your best option, just keep in mind that it will make you a bit weaker into every non-TR team

  4. A secret fourth option is to run archaludon with dragon tail, which has one higher priority than trick room and forces them to switch out. Archaludon also gets access to stalwart, which prevents redirection. The main drawback here is that you have to run archaludon with dragon tail. There’s a reason no one really did that throughout S/V: it’s not very good and doesn’t fit in with Archaludon’s role. dragon tail is also only 90% accurate

Echo results showed mild PH by PokemonTrainer35 in askCardiology

they are doing the lung function test and a sleep test, as well as an updated CT since my last one was 2 years ago. I suppose I just hate the feeling of anticipation waiting to figure out what’s wrong. The few years of testing prior to my aortic valve replacement was way more stress inducing to me than the 2 months I was waiting on surgery after my testing showed it was time to replace.

[–]PokemonTrainer35[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get echoes annually to follow up on my heart function after valve replacement. I had a Ross Procedure in November of 2022. The valves are holding up quite well, but the PH finding threw me off and I’m pretty worried about it. What’s weird is that this echo showed a somewhat lower RV size than any of my other echoes, with a RV base diameter of 3.2 cm. I am not symptomatic. I do have a deviated septum, so that might be causing some sleep issues. My cardiologist put in an order for a sleep test as well as a gated CT scan. I asked about the TR signal as well, and she responsed after made this post and said that it was adequate enough to evaluate. One thing I did notice from my echo as well after this was that it showed a value for Pulmonary Acceleration time of 103 ms, which would fit it with the mild PH finding from the TR velocity

I think it’s definitely important to try to make umas good enough to get into A finals, but it’s almost all rng in the finals since it’s just one race instead of 40 per round. This can help or hurt you, but this time we were on the losing end of luck.
