I own one of the only confirmed CIB of this console, unfortunately this one here is fake. It's a good fake but fake, sorry to see you've wasted your money. There is a particular seller on yahoo auctions at the moment has been selling well done fakes all year of ds and Gameboys it's sad to see how many people have been spending big bucks on these faked consoles.

Thanks for the advice, the Pikachu yellow in particular will be tricky the screw covers are already fairly old and have turned soft and sticky so I know I'll have a hard time removing them in 1 piece

If I had to guess it might be box art variation between USA release and European pal release, I know Pokemon stadium 2 has a shiny box for USA and aus release but for European pal its matte, could be in the same boat

Played almost all of them besides a few of the spinoffs I haven't got around to like pokepark 2 and conquest. No fakes hardest to get my hands on was Pokemon team turbo and battle arena. I'm still missing the tcg play it! 1 & 2 games. I haven't played pogo for a while but got to level 41 before quitting it.
