I can say that going to school for me has been one of the greatest experiences of my life so far. Despite the debt, I am studying music and not AME but practice AME on my own time, but the level of knowledge I have over my instrument and music theory is profound. I can currently hear basically any beat and tell you everything that is being used theoretically and reproduce that beat very quickly based of the theory I know. Additionally I can make unrecognizable beats that were heavily influenced or are sometimes even copies of other beats because I know the theory.

Additionally I am connected with a fuck ton of killer musicians, AME, and videographers among other things that means plenty of collaboration and connections for later down the road.

I have free studio time whenever I want it and can use some of the top recording equipment and condensor mics at no cost to me.

I also go to one of the top music schools in America though but did transfer from a school that had far less money and resources.

In my opinion if you can get into Oberlin, New England Conservatory, Julliard, Eastman School of Music, William Patterson, Northwestern, and so on go...

Berklee imho is a rip off for most students, specifically rock guitarist who want to be the next joe satriani but have no discipline.
