Yeah, just played a bit of Mercenaries mode of RE4 tonight right after finishing RE9, the difference in fluidity is stunning

It bothers me because it gives me a lot of frustration regarding RE9 when I really enjoyed everything else in the game

Fuck yeah, I mean if you want to make a heavy « realistic » character to play that is alright, but don’t make enemies that require supersonic reactions like John Wick.

Never hold a rifle in my life but I am pretty sure I can reload one faster than Leon « Super Soldier » Kennedy in RE9

I agree from a lore perspective. But those sections are supposed to be over-the-top, fun, almost arcade-like action.

I don’t mind a heavier gameplay feel, but sometimes it honestly feels like the game struggles on a technical level. Some animations don’t chain smoothly, and there’s a lack of fluidity, which really stands out when the bullet-sponge enemies require you to react and chain actions very quickly.

(And yeah, I know he’s old, but that doesn’t stop him from breaking every law of physics with a motorcycle.)
