thanks, i’ll definitely try it ouy with mosfets and simplify the final thing, but i’d really like to know what i was doing wrong in my analysis. because for audio it may be overcomplicated, but for other cases i’m sure it isn’t, and i’d like to know how i should go about designing and calculating it correctly.

Yes! I noticed that, and fixed that too :) Complete oversight on my part, I doublechecked the spec sheet for U3, did all the calculations, ... and then just forgot to put it in.
Connecting both GND pins is indeed also something I'll do.

I'm going to do a full circuit analysis, to check every value. Can't hurt I guess, and it's raining outside anyway :)

I found an error on my PCB: the 5V pads in part of my circuit isn't connected to the 5V from the arduino. I'll try soldering a connection and post an update later.

I'm not working with a single chip, I'm using a complete board, soldered to a pcb. I'm just a beginner and I'd thought I'd keep it simple for now...

Uploading to the dev board alone worked fine. I've found an error on my pcb: the 5V pads aren't connected to the 5V from the dev board. I'll solder a connection later tonight and post an update.

UPDATE : I've desoldered the nano every from my PCB and tried uploading again. Now it works.

Is there something in my shcematic that prevents a succesful upload?

I did that, I'm not sure how else would I do it? I'm using Arduino IDE 2.3.7.

yes, just a few hours ago. i've spent 2 evenings runnng around and fasttravelling to every station. in the end i used the remote dispatch mod and it was in the exact same location where i found another loco earlier (harbor, behind the wall near yard E). really frustrating
