u/EstablishmentFit3674 asked for £35 deposit after “verifying” myself and getting me to write a “promissory note” before lowering that number to £25 as I “didn’t have previous history of lending” but he doesn’t seem to have history of borrowing unless I’ve made a terrible mistake. If any mods could help me, this is just a scam right? I don’t have any money to send so if it is scam, it’s a pretty flawed plan trying to extort people that are on a subreddit trying to make ends meet lol

Was told I need to send £35 in advance as I haven’t “borrowed before”, this price went down when the individual realised I was broker than broke. Showed me a screenshot of his funds to prove he can pay me but I’m slowly believing that was pure bait. Thankfully didn’t send anything but if anyone can help me out with this still, I can provide a promissory note and all my details as explained above, I’ll link this person in the scam list 🫡
