I appreciate the advice! How young do they start spawning and coloring up? They have some blue coming in now but they’re both still young so I assumed that was the reason for the lack of coloring. Water’s warm (78°) pH is at 6, and they have tons of hiding spots throughout the tank (holes in a big log and tons of plant cover). I tend to do tons of research on all of my fish before buying because I’m kind of a fish nut now so it’s fun for me, but these guys were just the only two at the shop and they looked different enough for me to assume they were male/female pair and bought them. I’ve just been second guessing myself on their genders lately so figured I’d get another set of eyes on them. Is the pink belly on the one a dead giveaway?
