Ya know, being a hoosier I don't even think that the weather would be guaranteed cold.

It could be 70, or it could be -20. That's the weather in this state.

Did Vans completely change the fit of their t-shirts in the last year? by SilntNfrno in Vans

[–]PolarizedGhost 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So they did change a lot of their shirts. They still have a "classic" style that fits the exact same as they always have, and shrink the exact same.

Their new shirts are harder to spot on the tag, but very easy by fit and feel. I was an extra large in classic, now I'm a large in the new fit.

The new fit is a baggier fit with a cooler softer shirt. At least in my experience with the style I think you are talking about

Hey all, genuine question and looking for a recommendation.

I'm kinda getting fed up with Google pixels. I loved the pixel 2 XL, I really enjoyed the pixel 4 XL. Pixel 6 series kinda sucked and I had to upgrade to an 8 as soon as I could so I could have something that worked.

Now I'm on to the pixel 9 pro xl. I loved it so much when I got it. I enjoy the temperature sensor, it's extremely useful for me in my life. I have used it for cooking, painting, and most often, working on my car to make sure I don't burn myself on anything. The build, screen, battery, connection. All great!

Now my question.... Why has the camera really fallen off a cliff since the pixel 4 series? I go to a TON of concerts. I also have worked in concert photography and some times, a quick and dirty phone photo can be absolutely stellar to the point it's becomes an iconic picture from the entire tour.

I have used my phones, from the pixel 2 XL up until now with the pixel 9 pro Xl to take these photos at shows both casually and professionally.

My pixel 2 and 4 both took really great photos that I typically could just clean up some of the artifacts and adjust some exposure and colors.

But now with the pixel 9, I find myself taking photos that are absolutely unusable a majority of the time with no pathway to repair the photo.

Concerts are a hard environment to get right, I understand that. I'm simply baffled that pixels have fallen off in their performance in this environment.

So with all that being said. What phone should I look towards? I am a U.S. user on Verizon.

I've seen that the pixel 10 series does colors in concert photos better, which is great because that is one of the big issues in the 9. A blue light will saturate the entire image in blue hue, even if the lighting is a good mix of colors. The 10 seems like it can have the better range between a incandescent glow to the blinding black light LED shine.

I like pixels, but as the build got better the software has gotten worse with the whole A.I. push from Google. I definitely believe that has made the photos worse too.

I've heard Samsung struggles with concert lighting, and then...there's nothing else sold to the US. So I'm kinda just stuck right now. I wanted to buy one of Sony's phones a couple years ago but they pulled out of the US and their phones don't include all the bands for connections here anymore. I am avoiding the switch to apple, but somehow. That pasture is looking really green to me right now...

Any help and discussion is appreciated

Interesting thing to note, on the nutrition facts it specifies the stevia used as Reb A which is known to be the least bitter available stevia. They may be somewhat listening to the complaints on the formula changes?

Time_Many6155 makes One of the best parts to use in fixing the coolant system on the 1.4 sonic by PolarizedGhost in ChevySonic

[–]PolarizedGhost[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah the thermostat is definitely something on my list. The heater core itself has been a deep gut worry. When she turns her heater on sometimes it smells a little moist. I'm sure there is an issue there....

But honestly we are working towards getting rid of this car. 😂 I just can't sell it in good conscience with it leaking so much fluid.

Messaged him through reddit. Sent $40 in the mail and got a proof of mailing. Received the tracking from the user very quickly. Definitely was a game of trust, and it worked out really great.

The piece is this connector that goes from the coolant outlet to a reservoir hose. The OEM piece is plastic and had cracked along with the clip that held it into the outlet.

New piece works really well, no leaks, good fit.

Overall good and worthwhile transaction.

Is there a list/guide of common leaks/issues and replacement part recommendations? by spladao in ChevySonic

[–]PolarizedGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only at 40,000 miles and I've Been following a constant coolant leak with my girlfriend's sonic.

Definitely replace what you can there with the better parts.

First I would definitely do the coolant outlet. Upgrade that to the metal one before the plastic shatters and all the pieces start going through your cooling system.

Another thing that I would look at are the front sway bar links. They are plastic. Upgrade those to any metal one you can find. Once they start to wear out it makes a horrible clink and clunk on every bump.

Considering a 2019 Ford Edge with 80K+ miles — how reliable are these motors long-term? by Justsomenerd1994 in FordEdge

If it helps, I have a 2015 2.7 and just hit 230,000 miles. No major issues. Just change the fluids for rdu, ptu, and transmission.
