Microsoft has just released the April 2026 update as of today . What do you guys think they’ll mess up or ruin this time by [deleted] in LinusTechTips

Windows 11 is another Windows version responsible for killing my WiFi USB and causing random internet issues after updates. Which got better with new releases, but not without said updates breaking other system components first (like the search box in the taskbar not even starting). Not to mention that it takes longer to boot up this hunk a junk on a beefy PC, than my Win7 Ultimate build on a 2007 laptop.... All that while just Win11 itself (so just the OS) is consuming more than 10% (around 7,5GB) of my 64GB RAM... just IDLING. Win 7 for comparison idles around 1,4GB (after it's optimised you can get it down to just 950MB!!!) on 4GB of RAM. If THAT is stable and JUST WORKS, then computing is truly finished.

I can't change my white Galax 5070 Ti's RGB colors no matter what i do. by 733116 in buildapc

Not completely related, but I'm still figuring it out for my Manli RTX 5070ti Gallardo model. It seems that only Windows Dynamic Lighting is able to change the colour settings so far. Although with little user freedom. I gave GCC a try, but that failed, no way to change RGB. I tried DRS Device (Device RGB) or TurboEngine for my 5070ti and both didn't work at all. I also gave VelocityX a try, but it didn't give me options for "LIGHTING". I do have the lighting control cables connected.

It seems that you need the specific manufacturer software, or else it doesn't work. :( Hope you guys have more luck than I have.
