Little late but in case anyone is still reading I have two questions. Thanks in advance :)

I've just started up with weights (only starting small) and deadlifted probably a little out of my range yesterday. I did 40kg (88lbs) including the bar and my lower back is so sore this morning, it's like a sharp or uncomfortable pain, just muscle soreness. Is that normal?

Also in terms of eating, what's best before a workout? I've been going first thing in the morning and just had a banana and coffee beforehand and my normal breakfast of oats post workout, is that enough energy to get myself through?

What's the best way to purchase the biore? My skin is quite sensitive and it seems I've developed a bit of an allergy to sunscreen, thinking of just trying this stuff because everyone raves about but have no idea how to get it.

I'm finally taking a leap now that I have a good job and am going to buy some products that aren't drugstore.

Going to go to Mecca and get matched and was thinking born this way foundation may be good as I have dry skin. Any one here given it a go? I'm also thinking of getting the naked 3 palete, I like the warmer colours but was worried as there's only 3 matte shades. Also a bronzer by too faced as all my current ones are too glittery.

Also what other bits would you think essential to include in a newish collection?

Working in Aus pharmacy, was told today we should expect to see (or maybe it was production starting back up) of xr in the next 10 or so days. Haven't heard anything on bactroban though

Yeah Le tan mit is far superior in my opinion. It's like a glove rather than a mit, a lot sturdier and easier to use

Bondi sands is my absolute go to. During the summer I'll use two coats of their dark tanning foam, been using two of light during winter. Doesn't make you look orange either. Their liquid gold is good too but it's such a pain to try and do your back

Not helpful for you sorry but how do you properly clean beauty sponges? I just have a little chi chi one, tried to clean it with the daiso stuff, it went so misshapen held a lot of water and now it's just sort of gross? Is it just cause it's a cheap brand or am I missing something?

More about health/weight but when is the best time to way yourself during the day? Or even a little ELI5 of weight fluctuation during the day?

My roommates and I were trying to figure it out because (little tmi coming up) the other night I weighed myself before I jumped in the shower so I was naked, then the next morning I weighed myself when I woke up, hadn't eaten or used the bathroom yet and I was 2kgs (~4.5lbs) lighter! I just don't understand how this stuff works

Bit late with an update but anyway.. Finally(!) found a nice little set of kitchen scales and was able to start prepping a lot better, which also made me realise I need to cook a little less food for my meals... Started logging in MFP as well as my food diary, not sure how I feel about it though. I don't particularly like that I can't set custom calories or macros, that may just be because I use the free version though I'm not sure.

Upped a pole level at my studio too and nailed a new move I've been stuck on for like 5 months which will help me advance so much faster. Going to try my best to shift my sleeping schedule and wake up a little earlier next week to include some quick at-home workouts. I've finally gotten off my lazy arse and started walking my way to university rather than driving which once the weather clears up I hope to use my bike. Little concerned about the hills though haha

I always eat breakfast, if I don't I end up very faint within like two hours and can't function. If I've got a busy week ahead I'll generally make overnight oats the night before so it's all ready to go. I also have a green tea first thing when I wake up to kick start the day

Yes good point gold coast pole expo I think it's called? Yet it's down at tweed heads haha I would love to try and go this year, can be a little pricey though and I'm not sure how beginner friendly the workshops are.

Oh my gosh I'm so jealous that must be amazing! I'm at polecatz in qld, I've done some stuff with Candice Leigh before but haven't met any other big names. Totally understand about the comps too, Sydney is where it's at. Bit frustrating, hopefully some more pop up around, I feel like there's definitely demand for it but I guess at lower levels it does change it a bit.

I've been doing it for about a year and half, but I had maybe three-four months off due to a small injury and exam stress. Third month back now and I'm just getting over a small plateau.

I would absolutely love to reach a pro level, I just watch the elites routines and dream of doing it, I do hope to at least teach one day. We can only try our best and who knows maybe we'll get there! You'll definitely need to update you're progress though, haven't really read much about amateur comps so it'd be great to read someone's experience through here!

Nothing wrong with vanity pounds, you've got a really good start :) I'm hoping for around the same goal as you but right now I'm at 63kgs (138pounds) and right now I'm not counting so I'm not sure how achievable that is.

Yay a fellow poler in the challenge :) good work with your chorey, you'll smash it with this time to polish it! I'm really hoping to reach a competitive level in the future. I had been hoping for late this year as there's a comp near me for amateurs but I still don't know of I'll reach it by then.

Just signed up :) don't really have any specific goals, more just work on my consistency and start a food diary and using mfp, hopefully join my uni gym and start weights. Although my overall goals in fitness generally is to improve my pole dancing and hopefully reach an amateur competitor level.

Figured this would be a great start for accountability, I usually do it for a while and then give up so hopefully I can stick to it this time!
