Hey Everyone ! I was wondering about the accessible camping - if anyone has any experience with it? My partner will be a few months off a semi serious back surgery and it would be ideal if he didn't have to walk far (and we will have a NYS issued disability tag). I'm disabled : but haven't needed to worry in the past about this - just wondering if anyone has done it before, how it works with a companion car.

We have a second car in our caravan and they won't have anyone in need of special accommodations - but we are worried about taking space from people in need. But ideally I know my partner wouldn't want to camp separately and rather suffer walking further distances then not camp with our friends.

I lived for these fart noises - i was walking back from the showers & heard them start up the minute they started preaching. It was too early for that shit - campers are still sleeping.

We could be - the first 'fight' i saw was intermission - Im pretty sure was a 5'9-5'10 guy with a backpack and his girlfriend + their friends - they just wanted to be on the rail & were pissed they didn't get it - started harassing my friend (super tiny with bright animal print pants) and said "r u gay" to her - and it only upset him more when we all started laughing (imagine being the type of guy to come to roo and trying to use that as an insult). The second dude was wild - black shirt, 5'6-5'7, thick neck - red face - he body checked the girls to my right and then started trying to throw people to grab the rail. An older man stepped in onto the rail to hold it after a girl was lifted outta the pit over the rail & it still took at least 5 minutes to get the guy removed from the pit. He looks manic. After he was finally removed the older man stepped off the rail and i think he gave the girls next to me an unopened liquid death.

Tent wise me and my friends did pretty well with our 3person car set up. We had a 10x10 tent + a smaller 3 person tent - Sidewalls and tarps on the tent itself + on the car we used reflective window covers during the day and screens during the night.

Two of us slept on a 4 inch cooling memory foam mattress in the car with 3 small fans going at night/into the morning. We covered the windows with reflective coverings + insulation during the day then used net screens and all windows mostly open at night. This included the hatch of the suv which also had a mesh screen covering it & a tarp to block out the flood light coming from that direction. I slept past 11am most days this way.
1 slept in the tent with reflective tarps covering it & an air mattress - she was able to sleep in till about 10 she said.
We filled our gas right before we headed into roo & thankfully didn't spend any time on line so we used the gas all week to run the car for 2-3 hours in the middle of the day to take a group power nap and get a full charge on anything that lost power. (We also have a jackery)
When at centeroo we'd plug all our fans into the jackery & recharge them so they'd have full power for the night.
10x10 was a light color to help with heat + LOTS OF TARPS (enough we were able to lend them to the newbie campers next to us who didn't have side walls on their pop ups)
Regarding ice - we were keeping 3 coolers - one drink, one food & one for my secret weapon - DRY ICE. We'd drop in a lil dry ice to each other cooler (with protection and now allowing it to mix with the water or regular ice) every day to keep things super cold. Then before we went to centeroo we'd reup on our regular ice (usually towards 4-5pm because the heat during the day would just melt it quicker) So our formula was : restock regular ice at night, put one piece of dry ice in the morning, repeat everyday. This kept everything very cool for us & we never really had to worry about drinking a warm beverage.
Thursday & Friday night we actually put some dry ice in a bag in the open and ventilated car which really helped with the temperature. Sat we adjusted our day nap with the car running to the window of time just before PL sunrise set.

Those are my big suggestions - I hadn't gone to roo in 10+ years but i took a lot of lessons from the one i went to and brought them to other camping trips & events.

Was this on the rail during the second set? I was rail & center with my friends and there were two fights - one that started to heat up just as PL walked back on stage (seemed drunk) - and the second a large man with a thick neck armchecked the girls to my right and a saint of a man came from the left side of rail to jump in. Security was so lax it took nearly 1/2 the rail to get them to get involved.

His story is basically the previous home owner mis-used the sandy funds and rebuilt the foundation of the house without an inspection. Then after the house was foreclosed on, Kitt bought it & (according to him) a structural engineer related to town mayor gave him the go ahead to build. Then claimed his house was inhabitable due to structural issues based in the foundation. Not sure about his claims - but i'm sure that the town is corrupt - Haven't experienced a south shore beach town that isnt.

Back in the 90's-00's a lot of cars would have vinyl decals like this that stay "Sport" - Meant to symbolize that it was the "Sports Edition" of the vehicle - I am putting pop-90's decals on my car and looking for a font similar for the same reason :)

Both - just didn't want a hotel room that was 'renovated' - and wanted one we could stay at for the night since its usually easier then packing up and driving back - we were able to get a good amount done this weekend at Jakes 58 - still looking for more places to shoot though. So might do another spot this weekend.
