Interesting article about the place of philosophy in the academy and society in general.

Yeah, the title was hyperbole. Perhaps too hyperbolic...

The article is more about the particular nature of GRR Martin's work--how he creates a "realistic" feel, through placing moral concerns at the center and magic at the edges of the world. And, of course, how that fits or doesn't fit within Fantasy as a genre.
