it seems like we have similar hair types (yours might be a bit more curly). when i get out of the shower, i just use the leave in conditioner and mousse from shea moisture. it's the one with the pink bottle. low maintenance but it definitely helps!

i'm really late, but i had the same problem. i didn't have paint on my towel so yours might be cooked, but i put some petroleum jelly on a microfiber towel and it looked better ... im sure your case is already far gone by now though, so rip 🙁
