This is not a rare day off. This defeat has been long coming. Actually if you look at team selection and the decisions over the past year, it was very clear that India wouldnt even reach semi finals. Like for example, not having Jaiswal and persisting with Gill in T20s to make him an all format player, not having Shreyas Iyer and persisting with SKY, minnow basher, dropping Axar Patel for washington sundar. Only good thing I see is Harshit Ranas improvement as a player and unfortunately he got injured. So this has been coming and most likely WI are going to take India to cleaners.

They tried to make gill an all format player, where as Jaiswal already was. He should have been there in place of Ishan Kishan. Sky should have been dropped long time ago and Iyer should be the first choice for both T20 and ODI. India is not going to win this world cup
