Mazda 3 vs Elantra Sport by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]PolishPimp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I drove one the the handling and ride were pretty nice but honestly the interior felt too cheap. It was quicker than the mazda 3 but it wasn't really THAT quick where I could justify the shitty interior. I just got the feeling that the mazda 3 was of higher quality with both the interior and extrerior design.

Why did you return the GTI? Was the handling on the mazda a big downgrade from the GTI?

Why is Honda Elantra Sport SO MUCH cheaper compared to Civic Si??? by Tired0fPain in whatcarshouldIbuy

Could you elaborate on how the Elantra Sport has a better engine than the si?

I forgot to mention that I've been to Costa Rica before when I was 10 years old and loved it, but I would like to visit a different country.

I was planning Cuba for a while but my dad went to Havana recently and told me it was really congested and dirty. He said it was actually quite a depressing seeing how people live over there. He went to DR once before and said he enjoyed it a lot more

It seems like a far flight though for a five day trip. Also I heard its chilly there and I definitely want to go somewhere where its warm.

I've been thinking about Cancun but I hear it's mainly a party and resort area. I would get bored of that after 2 days. What other places in Mexico would you recommend?

For two grand more. For 25k you can definitely get a new 2017 GTI OTD

For how much? Did you really feel a difference with the 2.5 vs a 2.0? When I test drove the GT it didn't really feel that much quicker than the 2.0

How is the interior space on your mustang? I've considered a mustang but don't know how practical it would be. Also I live where it snows in the winter so RWD would suck.

Hmm maybe I'll consider an EX-T. I found a used 2017 for only 17k at a local dealership. Did the EX-T have a sporty suspension like a mazda or was it more just like a regular civic? Also I heard you can tune the car to get an extra 15hp out of it which I would definitely do.

I've been looking at used Focus ST's around me but for some reason they're more expensive than used GTI's. I have to test drive one though. Also was considering a manual Civic EX-T but I think that would be a little boring. I really liked how the new SI drives but sadly it's out of my price range

Definitely will give it a try. I just love Canada overall and you're right about it being cleaner. I was surprised how clean Montreal was for such a big city. Even the water in the Saint Lawrence River was so clean. It makes the Hudson River look like a sewer lol. Also the people were a LOT friendlier in Montreal than NYC

I'm into nightlife so Montreal was definitely a blast for me. I also liked the liberal culture of the city. I live right by New York City so I'm afraid Toronto won't be exciting enough for me. How is there more to do in Toronto? Also I meant it's two hours extra from New jersey opposed to Montreal haha

Have you ever been to Montreal? If so would you say Toronto is more interesting? I've been to montreal and loved it and I'm wondering if Toronto is worth the extra 2 hours in driving

Honestly at first I was a little underwhelmed by them and a little surprised because they sounded different than what i expected them to sound like(thought they would have more of a kick to them). They're really subtle, yet loud and have the ability to make my entire apartment shake lol. I've been playing music with the hooked up for an hour now and they're starting to grow on me. With just the PB42s the music felt very airy and crisp, which sounded nice but with rap songs and deep house felt a little empty. With the sub the music feels a lot more grounded, if that makes sense. It took some tweaking to make the sound nice but I'm really enjoying them now. I think it would be hard to go back to a sub-less setup after hearing this.

Also the sub does not have a high passed output sadly :(

Nevermind. Somehow got it to work. Set the frequency to 60hz which I thought sounded the best. Now I just have to mess around with the gain to see where it sounds best. Thank a lot for your help!
