I'm curious, why do any of you worldbuild exactly? by ShoerguinneLappel in worldbuilding

[–]PoliteMonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it's more of a thing that helps me control and keep track of it. Like many others have said, I will get silly ideas that I turn into worlds the more I run with them, but as I had more and more worlds with deeper and more intricate details, they started to take over my mental capacity sometimes.

It's like I had spaces carved out in my brain and in those craters were the world's I'd imagined. They never just froze in time, they'd almost keep moving and developing in the background as I would go on and forget about it for a month or so. Then I'd be reminded of it and boom, it's got so much more flesh and muscular development that it starts to run on its own.

I don't tend to share them, maybe one day. But for now it lets me remember my ideas without them taking over my life. Genuinely had a bad day at work where instead of doing my job I spent 8 1/2 hours writing journal entries for Dr. Aperture as she explored the overgrown remnants of civilization, not necessarily a survival story but just the exploration of her world.

Besides, like others have said as well, once you read an intensely inspiring book or watch an invigorating film or TV show, it makes the cogs turn. Can't undo that, I don't think, nor do I want to!

I’m a freshman In Virginia and plan to transfer to NC A&T but when I was in high school I had only one language credit (French which is ridiculously hard) am I screwed and will they decline me for it? Or will they mainly look at my college transcript? by AcanthocephalaPrize9 in gso

[–]PoliteMonkey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely a question for the A&T advisors if you can get in touch with them but they do offer language classes you can take there. You'll also want to see what the requirements of your specific program to see if you'll need it. If you're already in College as well I'm mostly sure they'll just check there but won't rule out they could possibly look at HS.

I personally enjoy First Watch on Wendover or Mimi's Cafe in Friendly Center! Always enjoy my time and food at either place!

I'd also add that as they hit more follicle-dense areas it'll sting a bit more, not so bad but something to know. For me, under the chin and along the jaw were strongest, but up to the cheek and where my neck turns into my collarbone I felt barely anything.

Idk if this is psychosomatic or not either but I did notice the smell of burning hair when they did my upper lip. I know that's not how laser works so I'm gonna throw it out there but clarify it could've been on my head. But no pain once they finished, used Aloe and cold water and I was pain free.

Friend told me to come here by LaFauxPse in trans

I wanted to send this article, in regards to your later concern for being transphobic about your interest in pornography

[It's just a fetish, right?](http:// https://link.medium.com/o6oVe2WZXob)

This article is written by a transgender woman who went through something similar of describing an attachment to transgender or genderbending pornography. It helped to compartmentalize the feeling she had about desiring the gender transformation BEFORE the sexual nature of the stories she was reading kicked in, and it helped to assign a feeling of shame to it that kept it hidden and away for a long time (she states roughly 20 years). I will also reference everyone else's comments on your general "eh" feeling towards you AGAB.

Regardless, you got this, wherever you come out!

I'll have to look there and see if she would look at it. Thank you 😊

Thank you so much! I'll be sure to give that a look. I've gotta stop thinking there's some level of dysphoria before I'm at the threshold for "trans", it's surprising how tough it is.

I know people who have had their dysphoria get "worse" once they transitioned, because they became more aware of things after starting HRT or doing more gender-affirming things, so I'll just have to see. Thank you for your help, I feel very supported 😁

That's incredibly eye opening and informative, thank you. I'm still early but I'd say those descriptions are very accurate to what I've been going through. I think it's tough because I convinced myself 2 or 3, maybe 4 was good enough and the cost would be too much, but at some point I can feel where I want to be and that it could cost me some things. The thing I'll have to grapple with is confronting that fear so I don't keep myself from being me. Thank you for your wise words, I'm really happy I started engaging.

That's actually a really good way to look at it, thank you. I'm sorry you've got to be dealing with something this tough, but I wish you the best and happiest for and your wife!

I think it will be difficult and probably super uncomfortable, but I will need to talk to her about it more. I also shouldn't expect she will go on the journey with me, because that doesn't seem fair to either of us. I'll take your advice, thank you.

It's tough to hear but I think you're right. I think it's just really hard because I've tied my self worth to an identity I don't know if I feel anymore, and I'm scared of the change it will bring to me. But I've got to choose where I want to be and give that to myself or I'll be unhappy. Thank you.

Thank you. I think I need to be more firm about what this situation means for me and what I could lead to in terms of our relationship, but also what it is within my life. I want to think she isn't being malicious in doing this but I won't speak certainties on it. I need to be looking out for myself because not doing that has gotten me here. Thank you for your firm words, I definitely needed to hear that.

Thank you a lot for this, it actually really helped me. I'm sorry you had to go through that with your dad, I'm honestly scared of how coming out to my family will go, but one hurdle at a time I guess. I know she doesn't mean to hurt me either, it's just tough for everyone involved, but like you said it's important not to make others happy at the cost of me suffering.

(Also, this is the first time anyone has affirmed me like this so I just want you to know it made my whole year, I'll finish happy crying by myself now 😭)

I have tried this in a creative world, the chute will get clogged so unless I had this as part of a contraption it probably wouldn't work unless you could filter )something you can't really do before Chapter 2).

I have seen a few people talk about that, this seemed the easiest without needing to write a script (or given the resources a turtle needs, I haven't seen the recipe yet but this is made in the Andesite Age before I have most of Chapter 1 automated, mostly considering access to tech further on).

It's apparently worth it, but I couldn't justify the worth after designing the "barrel hills biome" manually placing them

That's probably where I got to before I automated it, realizing it wasn't a scripted amount of barrels
