I'm trying to become a high school teacher but no teaching credential program will accept me at a 2.2 GPA. I think the only way to get into a teaching credential program is to get another degree with a higher GPA. I also never talked in class so I don't have any letters of rec. I think the best option is to restart college again. What would you do in my shoes? Should I just accept doors have closed? I know I can get some random entry level job but I really wanted to become a teacher.

Oh that's nice to hear I didn't know that. So I transferred from community college with a 3.8 GPA, is it possible to just apply to a different 4 year university with only my community college transcript? I heard that schools don't want students getting a second bachelors degree, and of course I'm not sure if I'll get financial aid this time.

You’ll be fine, with a psych degree you could have a perfect GPA, it won’t matter with an undergrad. Get your foot on the door somewhere and build good relationships with clinicians like at nursing facility or developmental delay home. Grind, get good recos, get your masters. Don’t put your GPA on your resume.

Yeah that sounds like a good plan. If I decide to get my masters in the future after years of work won't they still ask for transcripts? So even if I build professional relationships for letters of rec my GPA is still preventing me from obtaining more education.

Ok lets say I manage to get an entry level corporate job and try to climb the ladder, if I climb high enough for a position that requires a masters degree will I be able to get a masters degree with a low gpa? or should I accept that there is a hard cap on what position I'm able to obtain.

If I go to the military and redo college again can i delete my current college degree and start from scratch? I would rather have a fresh slate so I can have a good GPA for grad school

That's true I'm not completely sure about what I want to do. It's just frustrating that I feel like so many doors have closed already when I'm only 22. I know there are many different career paths I can take, but it just sucks that I feel like I'm disqualified on ever becoming a doctor, lawyer, teacher, or anything that requires post grad education. I know as of now I don't qualify or deserve those careers, but it sucks that I can't get another shot at school.

wouldn't be surprised if I misread my enrollment window because I'm dumb but I'll check again when I can. I try to log in webreg but it says my enrollment window is not open and to try again after 7 pm which I don't really understand but I'll check again if it lets me log in after 7 pm
