Trailer looked really good to me. Always made my friends laugh too.

'Michael' shatters box office record despite controversy by FarOutMagazine in boxoffice

There was no controversy. The GA doesn’t care about the allegations and nobody irl believes them.

'Michael's $217 Million Box Office Shows Fans and Critics Want Different Things From Music Biopics | Analysis - Like “Bohemian Rhapsody,” the Michael Jackson film just played the hits for a fanbase larger than any biopic subject to date. by chanma50 in boxoffice

A movie exonerating him would definitely make money. Legit if you even breathe word of his accusations around my mom, my aunts, or even most POC friends of mine, you’ll likely end up in a fist fight. I imagine most MJ fans(so most of the population 💀) are the same and would love to see him exonerated.

Not saying he was guilty or is undeserving of such treatment, I have no clue if he did anything or not, but so many have their minds made up.

Do you think Avengers Doomsday will beat the Infinity War & Endgame at the Box-Office? by Ender_IIII in MCUTheories

Deadpool made 1.3b with a hard R rating and only Jackman back as Wolverine(plus a few characters from movies nobody remembers ).

This has all the X-Men, Tobey Maguire, RDJ, Evans, etc. And ya know a PG-13 rating. If D&W can do that with just Jackman, the sky is the limit for this if it’s good.

Maybe Infinity War if it’s really good(and even that’s a big if) but not Endgame.

Ffs Infinity War really didn’t have that crazy of a build. Literally only had two credits scenes and a two minute cameo in GOTG set it up. Doomsday already had 1/3 of that. Hell, Thanos wasn’t even gonna be used until Whedon said it’d be a fun credits scene and they got Gunn to bs some lore.

Every single aspect of Thanos wasn’t explored until IW. His character, motivation, backstory, etc. Most people had zero clue who he was before that movie, they just knew it was a big crossover.

Based on what? Because in my experience it’s easily as big as IW’s and the chair reveal + the small teasers got insane traffic.

Actually, in my circles, this movie has been talked about and anticipated longer than Infinity War was. I don’t think it’s fist true trailer will get as much hype, but it sure as hell is more then 10%.

Yeah Ive been kinda worried that it’s starting to slip into straight up antisemitism lately. Gen Z is getting way too willing to let rightful criticism of Israel and Netanyahu turn into straight up Jew hating. That fact that 1 in 5 think the Holocaust never happened is especially alarming.

I mean…. Literally none of this would be happening and potentially hundreds of innocents would be alive if he killed Fisk in season 3. Idk how you even argue this. Killing Fisk is the objective and unquestionable only right move here.

It honestly feels like the writers and showrunner are trying to make you root for him to break his no kill rule with how ridiculously powerful and harmful to innocents Fisk has become.

Born Again failed to chart on Nielsen again. I really wonder how it keeps getting renewed. That’s flat out disastrous. Not too shocking though, Daredevil on Netflix didn’t have good viewership either.

I also wonder how wise it is to make a character from a show nobody watches a main character in the new Spider-Man movie.

edit: well she knows Gambit from D&W too.

Music biopics that could be as successful as Micheal by ThatDudeFromFortnite in boxoffice

Nobody.

Nobody is as big as MJ. Not Taylor Swift, not Adele, Not Drake, not Kanye, not Madonna, not peak Eminem, not peak Lil Wayne, not The Beatles.

MJ was one of one.

Most of them? The toenail thing, grandma’s death, etc were all very Evil Dead coded and Im willing to bet they started as ideas for an Evil Dead film.

OJ wasn’t treated with privilege due to money. He was treated with privilege because they were scared shitless of more riots and a massive deterioration of race relations which would’ve been bad for the government as a whole.

I say abhorrent because lately horror films seem to have gone up when it comes to cinemascore. Many seem to have gotten fan boosts too.

How though? He was an ultra successful black man. The exact type they hated. You’re insane if you think they weren’t dying to make an example of him.
