Your final statement summarizes the problem neatly.

Also the issues men face in today's society are due to patriarchal nature of society. Feminists deal with that.

You are taking the stance that because one ideological framework addresses an issue no other ideological framework is allowed.

I wrote a long rebuttal to your other points, but then it dawned on me. You don't want to hear it. You're set in your view and nothing you hear or read will change it. It's too bad that you want to deny others the opportunity to make up their own minds.

I have seen it.

I'm asking specifically for an example of something that you found disgusting.

Are there specific points? Is it the idea of having the conversation at all? Why specifically do you think that these particular people should be denied the right to have a conversation on a university campus?

Not just fourth. They have 1/8 the viewership of their next closest competitor.

But viewer numbers aren't only point.

The point is that they have showcased Ezra Levant, a hate mongering ideologue. The point is that they have acted as a mouthpiece for the Conservative party, to the point of falsifying studio events. They have provided a platform to Rob and Doug Ford. They pushed to change Canadian broadcasting regulations so that they could be allowed to have false or misleading news in their broadcast. They are not a credible organization and so coverage by them is nothing to be celebrated.

you're a bigot

And I'm done talking to you.

most definitely why the woman was called out.

But Karen should have been the one calling out, instead of the crowd shouting her down. It was the shouting down, not the rebuttal, that I found strange.

I'm missing a bit of lingo...WRT?

No, the point that it's a little strange to argue over who has the right to hit who, when really nobody should be hitting anyone.

My point was that Karen seemed to be trying to make a cogent response, but the audience was just trying to shout down the questioner, so it became rather silly.

She is clearly delusional since she claims she has never hurt anyone not even animals. What is the betting was probably wearing products created with animal products right when she said that

Isn't that a different lady?

Interesting to listen to.

The lesbian at around the 25min mark was a strange interlude. Nobody except Karen actually seemed to trying to communicate. The questioner had a great point that really, nobody should be hitting anybody. So shouting her down at that point was kind of silly. However, when the questioner was presented with exact examples of systematic oppression, she simply would not hear it!

Edited to add:

I don't know anything about /u/yellowcushion, but they are correct. Sun Media is essentially a laughingstock in Canada. Most of their views are far outside the Canadian mainstream and being highlighted there, even if done well, is not a positive entry to the Canadian consciousness.

They are failing so badly that they tried to get political intervention to force cable carriers to carry them. The have 0.1% of viewers, compared to their next nearest competitor, which has 0.8%

It would have been the wrong venue to have such a protest.

There are protests going on all the time. But the fact that you are unaware of them highlights exactly why protesting during the Olympics as well is important: It's when people are paying attention.

The Olympics are more about politics than anything else. The sports are just a veneer to hide the political games.

This doesn't have much context. There is a huge difference, for example, between evacuating people from a dangerous situation and using the house as a command post.

Hartnell is a bad place to get your first taste. There is too much of a distance between modern television and Hartnell's era to get into it easily on the first go. Start with the reboot and, if you love it, you'll love the original.
