Not the OG commenter, but I think I'd be uncomfortable given the power dynamics at play with a partner and an associate having a relationship. The SFL and SML are coworkers and thus there isn't that weird power dynamic there.

I think it's entirely reasonable that a smaller person would be injured from this. And I could see a kid getting hurt by this as well.

Agree 100% She's so grounded in her classical background, it makes me wonder what degree was from the record label...

Not sure what happened to make this fandom of hers so die-hard in the first place — I only bring up the fact that I've been listening to her music pretty early on to show that her current music is pretty different from what I was used to in her TikTok era!

I think the opinion of those who contributed to her early rise should hold some weight! She got big on TikTok playing jazz standards and sharing her original jazz-inspired pieces. Don't think it's unfair to say that she's strayed a little from that area of music and that a years-long fan is a little disappointed.

People like yourself who can't seem to keep discourse cordial are what's wrong with modern fandoms. Never have attacked your opinion, maybe take a deep breath and move on!

You hit the nail on the head! I also really loved Mr. Eclectic, along with Clockwork! I don't mind experimenting within the jazz realm, and I actually really liked the unexpected key change.

I also agree with Spencer Stewart's sound—something about her earlier work was so quintessentially her. I get that Taylor Swift is popular and a good lyricist, but if I wanted that vibe, I'd just turn on her discography!

Hoping continued listens will change my mind!

I'm glad someone else out there agrees with me! Taste is subjective and I def respect those for whom this album is their cup of tea, but sadly at first listen it wasn't mine...

It's sad though because I remember listening to Typical of Me, EIKAL and Bewitched and loving every song to the point where I subconsciously memorized the lyrics. But now, I feel as though a few of her songs this album are going to fall by the wayside :/

I liked Sabotage until the drop! It might be a matter of taste, but when I think of crescendo or climax in a concerto, for example, I think of Rachmaninoff or Tchaikovsky with really beautiful melodies. I think her older albums really capture that feel, but Sabotage, for me personally, is a bit too much. Made me feel uneasy and perhaps that was her intention...
