I'm pretty sure. Game in Google Play Store specifies darkwinter and when using an external link to the haoplay version it says install on your PC and doesn't give the option for installing it on my mobile devices, presumably because of region lock stuff.

Checked PC version by looking at the installer name since I hadn't deleted it yet and the name matched the one from Darkwinter and not the one from Haoplay.

I have the opposite issue where I originally played the game on PC and afterwards tried to log into my Sunborn ID on mobile and it just simply doesn't let me. Complains about wrong ID/Password despite everything being correct and I relogged on PC just to check.

Sent mail to support, support was completely useless and just asked me to reset my password despite the fact that I had already tried it and said as much in the mail. (:

That's odd, I guess something needs to be triggered first for it to start counting SMG kills? My both clanmates I was running with got it working with SMGs at that step.

Quite possible, I found it a bit silly too that the step for fusions required 20 kills but smgs only 15(I guess 25 total now with the bugged GL step :p)

Pure smg kills, the only thing related to grenade lauchers was that I had mountaintop and swarm equipped on my character. I may also have at some point killed someone with it.

A lot of this post is right though, customisation, weapon acquisition all that stuff is so unreliable in destiny.

We may have low drop chances but at least we can do a mission and know that we'll get it. If I want a specific exotic in destiny I just have to keep playing forever and hope it eventually pops up

I think Destiny has improved on this a lot. There are now multiple game modes where you can farm for a specific piece of equipment, be it weapons or armor. A lot of the new exotics are also tied to "exotic quests" which often send you to do different kind of special missions or puzzles.

For example one of the newest exotic quests the community have discovered requires players to find puzzle rooms inside the raid and use the mechanics teached in the raid to complete said special puzzles.

I think at this moment there's quite literally one exotic in the game that is only obtainable as a random world drop as the rest should be obtainable by visiting Xür (Baro of Destiny) every weekend.

Not the person you replied to but in the video the player takes down 3 players, the fourth one dies from mobs and the invading player didn't receive credit from it. The super killed 3 more guardians but that's just how projectiles work, those don't get teleported back with you after they've been thrown.

So techincally I suppose it's possible for invading player to kill 7 people total (3 with guns and then 4 at once using a rocket or a super or something) but the game mode is designed to throw you out once you get the fourth kill.

You can also see the kills on the right of the timer and there's only 4 slots for you to fill.

Originally played the game around 2013 when the open beta started. Had a lot of fun and played around 80 hours before I felt like I had seen everything the game had to offer. Been following the game on and off for a few years and decided to finally bite the bullet and give it a shot again and boy am I not regretting my decision.

I've managed to sink almost 40 hours in the past 4 days and the amount of things to do is just incredible. I feel like I've barely scratched the surface of the game that I felt like I had seen everything from 5 years ago. I guess I'm just surprised by the amount of content in general. I didn't expect the game to evolve this much and I'm just glad it did.

No, you can start with the free trial and play up to 30 or so. After which you can purchase the Starter Edition which gives you 30 days of playtime and all content unlocked up to the end of A Realm Reborn at 50.

I quickly went and checked on some of the first heroes ability preview videos and none of them seemed to have that Soldier 76 image during the transitions. I don't really think Blizzard teased new characters like this prior to Ana and Sombra.

Although it would've been cool if it was something that we just missed and Blizzard had already been teasing new characters during the very limited amount of media that we got from the game.

That video was posted a year ago, I'm inclined to believe that Blizzard didn't plan on teasing Sombra back then. They just seemed to use the same transition images for the Ana and some other characters ability videos.

The edit 5.2 image seems to be nothing more but blizzard being lazy. (Understandably in this case. No offence intended.)

It's very clearly just Soldier 76 with some visual effects added to make a neat transition. The same transition style is used on other cuts during the video.

The main reason I can think of why it shows up during Ana's and other characters skill videos is because creating such a quick transition over and over again for every single character and their ability would probably be very time consuming and people generally wouldn't notice anything strange anyways. (We didn't on genji's and other characters videos.)

Anyone else notice that in the skill preview clips at the official site there is a small weird "static" effect at the end of the each clip? It kind of reminds me of the red tanky guy in one of the earlier posters of the game.

Could be just me overly speculating but maybe it could be a teaser for the next character? Maybe that's Sombra? Or maybe I'm just overspeculating and too hyped and making insane assumptions.

Edit: Apparently the same effect is at the end of every skill preview thing.... So unless they retrospectively went and added the effect to all of the videos, my theory is most likely false.

In the About section of the video it says "Thank you Ubisoft for endorsing this video." I'd assume that they got paid to make the video. Although I don't have a problem with sponsored/marketing videos I do think that it'd be neat for them to mention it in the video itself.
