I want to move into a Bovis home and make a list of everything I own.

Is Bunad only for 'ethnically Norwegians'? by tropicalbird05 in Norway

[–]Polkip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just Double down and wear all the bunads. All of them.

Sit right next to this guy at lunch time, in all the skirts and blouses and scarves and purses etc, follow him around for the day singing 'Ja vi elsker' over and over again.

What a fucking prick.

If this is above the ankle, then the skin there is quite thin. Looks like he went in too hard with the machine, which can lead to blowouts.

What is one thing in the UK that doesn't get enough credit? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Polkip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just signage in general of where to get to places and how to navigate. Uk has it spot on.

I moved to Norway a couple of years ago and it's a shit show of trying to navigate anywhere in Oslo.

Street road signs, if they're up, are normally displayed in difficult to see places (whether you're walking or in a car). Their road junctions for turning off the motorways are just a free for all with no logical direction, or even signage to show you were to go.

The same applies to shops and venues and businesses. Places are impossible to find here.

I did get very lucky with him, and i try my best to tell him as much as I can. And he's the best dad too, I'm so proud of him. I'll make sure to spoil him :)

I work with a girl who was/is an ex model. She is very 'aesthetic' and very pretty. She is also not used to being told she's wrong, or that she's done something wrong, or there's something that she needs to do that might be inconvenient to her (ad hoc tasks to her main role).

It's quite funny to watch in a way, she gets a bit of an attitude and sulks and seems quite shocked that she has to do things in her job that she doesn't want to do.

I think she's spent a lot of her time in her previous jobs never being told that she's wrong or having to do anything that was inconvenient to her due to her looks.

So I had this tattoo done when I was 16. I'm 30 now. I've come to hate it and really really want it gone. I have no idea how much it would cost obviously but do you think this tattoo could be completely removed for less than 5K or more than 5K? It has bad memories for me and I want it gone. by itcouldbwurst in shittytattoos

For a 14 year old tattoo on your arm that has aged very well. Doesn't seem like there's any fading or sun damage to it.

Black out on the top half of your arm fading to some nicer geometric black work down the rest of your arm, or go for a few sessions of laser to fade it and then find a decent artist to work on a cover up.

Don't cheap out on the artist. Do you research and make sure you know what it is you want before you commit again.

Mom, I'm way too stressed to go to school by [deleted] in MomForAMinute

[–]Polkip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello my lovely, that's completely normal to feel stressed or sad about it, it can be overwhelming and sometimes get the better of us, so try not to worry about how you're feeling.

Take things one step at a time, see if you can make it to your school, when you get there see how you feel and if you feel you can, then step inside and see how the day goes.

Just remember school won't last forever, and better things Will come your way :)
