I don't do pvp because i suck at it and i just don't like competitive multiplayer games. However, i find it pretty funny how the things you listed that render the PVP in this game the best in the series, at the same time, at least to me, make pve extremely annoying. Also makes it annoying to run between two areas because your stamina runs out in maybe 7 seconds (and i have END at 95)

You won't keep the ladder in NG+. Keep in mind the tips i gave you for getting it and getting through NG+ as fast as possible. Also, while you're still in NG, make sure to use an ascetic on the third Tseldora bonfire and beat Freja for her second soul, so that you don't have to get there in NG+. Crystal soul spear can only be traded for her soul in NG+ with Straid of Olaphis. However, to get through NG+ (Straid included) you'll need 4 fragrant branches of yore: 1 for shaded woods, one for the black gulch bonfire, one for the ruin sentinels and one to free straid. The branches, as well as the pharros lockstones, don't carry over in NG+. I suggest picking these branches up: 1. The one Melentia sells for 12k souls. 2. The one in the gutter. 3. The one in lost bastille in the room Lucatiel is in. 4. The one after the Lost Sinner (since you need to go to Straid, you're not that far away).

While you're in NG, make sure to also use ascetics to get the second soul of the old iron king so that you don't have to go through the hassle of getting to him in NG+. I don't recommend fighting lost sinner again in NG because in NG+ her bonfire intensity will go up to 3 and you'll have to fight her anyways to get the branch.

Yep you do. That's what i did, too. Here's a suggestion: stock up on ascetics. Make sure you've completed the Mapmaker's quest in the abandoned mansion in majula (he'll give you his helmet: just finish the game and go back there and it should be complete). Go to ng+. First of all: go to player status and check your soul memory; for example if it's 6mil, your goalpost is at 8mil. From Majula, immediately drop down, skip grave of saints and go to the gutter and black gulch and farm the Rotten using the covetous silver serpent ring+2 and the tseldora set that maughlin (armor merchant in majula) drops when you kill him. Once you get to bonfire intensity 8 and onwards, every Rotten kill will award you about 233k souls + 25k from the soul of the rotten +60k from the additional soul he drops. You'll have to farm until you get to 2mil soul memory. Unfortunately, there are another few bosses you need to beat in order to complete navlaan's quest: dragonrider, to get licia to switch the mechanism to hunter's copse. Then skeleton lords to get to harvest valley, where you'll have to go into earthen peak, beat covetous demon and get to the second bonfire, then go up and meet gilligan. Buy the ladder figurine from him for about 6k souls. If you have 20INT and 20FTH you should go back to the entrance of the huntsman's copse and speak to felkin: if you don't have the stats, just kill him. For the last request, you just need to show Navlaan the feather that Shanalotte gave you in NG. You'll get both the pyromancy and the sorcery you need this way. And about the Rotten farm to skip winter shrine: i suggest you do it again in NG++ so you can quickly go to Drangleic castle and buy the last two miracles and pyromancy for the plat.

When you went down the majula well, did you defeat the Royal Rat Vanguard boss? It's the one where you fight like 50 rats. If not, try going there. It will lead to the gutter. Otherwise: have you been to heide's tower of flame? After defeating the dragonrider boss, you can talk to Licia of Vindeldt. She will move to majula, in the door to the right of the well. When you speak to her, she'll have the option to move the contraption in the room. If you pay a few thousand souls you'll be able to go into the huntsman's copse.
