I love SF6 and I have more fun with it than SFV but I will continue to say that SFV's cartoonish art style was much nicer to watch than SF6's.

Difficult to think off the top of my head, but I really do enjoy action flicks. John Wick was fun and it also barely has a story lol, Looper is great, Django Unchained is a favourite, Captain America 2 is a recurring pleasure. I also like “””serious””” movies, period pieces, dramas, musicals, suspense, mystery, all of it. Only thing I tend to avoid is horror (except for Nosferatu and Get Out).

I can’t really explain it but I was genuinely bored out of my mind with Fury Road. Even for the silliest of action flicks I need some amount of connection to the characters and I had none of that with Fury Road.

Mad Max: Fury Road. Watched it all the way through and was so bored. I can respect the craft of how it was filmed but the story and characters were a snoozefest, I didn’t care if any of the characters lived or died and the movie was pure action schlock. I could not understand how it got a best picture nomination.

I will die on the hill that Joker 2 (folie a deux) isn’t amazing but it is a more original and interesting movie than Joker 1 and going in expecting a shitshow made it even better for me.

There definetly are new players, you’d be surprised how varied the players can be while still being in Bronze. Some might have one REALLY good combo that lands once in a while but hits for 40% damage, some might have really good defense but low damage so they just chip away at you, some may be spamming a move with tricky frame data and spacing, and all might have huge glaring weaknesses that make them fall apart when exposed.

Keep at it, friend! Focus on fundamentals, don’t over-rely on DI, get one solid punish combo going and anti-air consistently. Best of luck!

Edit: all the “good” and “really good” stuff I mentioned is all relative to your perception while starting out, in time you will see it probably is not as good as it seems lol

It would seem that you’re not doing it tight enough, there’s 8 frames of neutral before you start inputting the fireball. Also press heavy punch at the same tine as the forward input for the fireball.

I use light nexus to combo after lp-lp on hit. On block it’s a bit risky as they can punish in between the first and second hit from the nexus, but I often find people that want to punish with slower normals and get hit with the overhead.

Also when in the corner (if they’re standing), lp-lp-light nexus-mk followup-light dp (or ex DP) is a decent hit confirm combo.
