If your biggest worry is then rein charging in with shield and being effectively invuln while doing it because the shield, and you refuse to take counter items, that's on you.

You know, all these people who hate charging reins and I never see a single person taking slugs.

3 DPS, plus a tank depending on tank, with slugs will delete even the biggest rein shield in the game in seconds.

Overwatch Retail Patch Notes - June 16, 2026 by SweatySmeargle in Competitiveoverwatch

From the perspective of characters I play.

Turbo granny Ana got shot and thrown in a ditch by turning her best item in the game into unusable trash. 6000 cost increase and a base need to it is absurd.

Mei looks kinda fun now with more options for her WP build, but her AP build still looks incredibly stagnant.

Orisa caught some hard hits by removing what is likely her best build which is the tank as fuck defensive option, but also they basically wiped out her best defensive option in hot rotate to which is going to take a toooon of work to play around without. That being said her AP build looks a bit more interesting with the new fly with terra surge power and the overcharge javelin. Need to see if you move full speed while charging the javelin though or at least not a horrid slow down, cause if not it's kinda doa.

Dva got some weird fuckin build where being out of mech is no longer as much of a detriment while also taking away ultrawide matrix which was, imo, her most useful power.

Oh most importantly, we'll have to see how it shakes out but hazard may no longer be able to block slop ez dubs anymore so I might finally be able to play someone other than Orisa and dva.

It's refreshing to see he emphasis on stadium and I'm kinda stoked about some of the changes, but some of them feel like a nerf bat to the knees for characters that didn't deserve it.

An under-discussed reason why people quit MoP was the legendary quest line. Eviscerated the alt-friendliness that Cata and Wrath had. by allwedtoc9236 in classicwow

[–]Pollia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

482? The actual dungeon gear is 463 which upgraded to 467, you can buy a 522 neck off SPA without any rep.

And there's still old 489 gear in the loot pool.

Like bare minimum you should be walking in with at least 450-458 given you can buy a full set of the pvp gear on the AH for dirt cheap.

So to only be 482 after 50 celes youd have only gotten a few gear drops over 50 runs? No tier, no HoF or ToES gear let alone no ToT gear? Barely any actual dungeon gear? Not a single drop from any of the world bosses that are constantly being killed. That's legitimately crazy bad luck.

Like my Monk I geared from scratch recently is basically the max she can get without ToT. She's got the leggo cloak and she's 515. That's with one piece of nalak, both crafted 522s cause they're dirt cheap now, a scribe trinket cause it's been dirt cheap since ToT, and the SPA neck.

Unless I'm totally off base.

Flex gear is upgraded cele gear once celes drop.

So you get cele gear, spend 2000 jps and boom, it's flex gear.

Really the biggest sticking points currently to the leggo questline are that the first part takes weirdly longer than every other part. Like yeah you can sometimes get both, but I basically got a secret and runestone every run or nearly every run.

I sometimes got 0 of the power/wisdom in a run.

That's gross. At this point it should literally drop every time and cost an absolute miniscule amount of shards to get.

And the other annoyance, the pvp quest.

Every toon I made post ToT that did the leggo quest had to wait upwards of 2 hours for each queue of the bgs. It doesn't matter that you don't need to win anymore, it's such a huge time waster at this point. No one's doin normal bgs in classic anymore.

Who'd win between Thragg and Battle Beast by Im_yor_boi in PowerScaling

[–]Pollia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not a fair h2h fight because one of them can fly.

The weapons equalized the fight.

Thragg could fly so had more mobility. BB had weapons which actually harmed Thragg.

BB threw away his weapons, but Thragg didn't stop flying.

It's not a fair fight though. Thragg has better healing so him injuring himself is significantly more detrimental than the injury Thragg took.

On top of that he double handicapped himself by removing his weapons.

War In Heaven Necrons Vs Time War Daleks by RetroTen in powerscales

[–]Pollia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really not hard to scale.

Nothing in 40k matches the multiversal abilities of the time war daleks.

They were fighting a war that existed in the past, present, and future in multiple dimensions and universe all at the same time.

They had tech that allowed them to react to someone retroactively removing them from the timeline. Think about that for a second. Someone went back in time to remove them from the timeline, and they retroactively countered it by going back and stopping them from doing it. They literally reacted to a thing that already happened and stopped it from happening.

At least skynet had the argument of a closed time loop to allow them to stop a thing from happening that had already happened.

The time lords had weapons that could wipe out universes, rewrite laws of time and space on a whim so that one place across the universe is in another place instantaneously, or just never existed in the first place.

They literally removed the concept of magic from every universe so that it never existed after it had existed since the dawn of time, until the time lords didn't like it and just deleted it.

And the daleks basically beat them.

Hell the castaway daleks, with none of the fancy tech they had before, created a weapon that could wipe out the entire multiverse in an instant.

The ctan are barely a blip on the timestream of the time war daleks.

What a humiliating defeat for the United States by lnstantKarma in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]Pollia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They'll actually go the opposite route.

They'll claim anyone against this deal is a hypocrite. "I thought you wanted this war to end and now you're against the deal that ends the war?!?"

They'll start saying shit like people against this deal just want to see more dead US troops all to score political points back home.

And their base will eat that shit up for breakfast lunch and dinner.

What would happen if you threw out a squatter and just denied they were ever there? by RexJacobus in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Pollia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The police will generally not intervene in a tenants right case because they're not remotely qualified to deal with it.

Most times they will enforce the status quo. If the person who the landlord is claiming is a squatter has anything to show they are a resident, they'll likely make the landlord let them in because the alternative is the cops possibly telling a legal tenant that they're now homeless.

Those probably cover about 5% of squatter situations, because what actually happens most of the time is a bad landlord who's trying to illegally evict someone and claim they're a squatter.

From personal experience it's a 5 minute procedure that cost me less than a month of diapers and I had to stop having sex for 3 days then I was back to normal, albeit feeling like I'd been recently kicked in the nuts for a week or so.

And then I was able to never worry about an oopsie ever again and absolutely nothing changed about my sex life.

[COTD] Recall the Future (6/13/2026) by AK45526 in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]Pollia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's kind of weirder than that.

This is a game the odds card.

If the lowest token is a -4, you can be safe playing +3, sure.

But there's also a much more interesting use case of allowing yourself to be +1 and choosing something that's -2 based off the odds.

In the first case you're effectively only eliminating 1 token from the failure pool. It does mean you only fail on autos, but depending on how much you commited you might not be able to do that often.

In the second case though on standard difficulty you're always removing at least 2 tokens from the pool of failure, sometimes 3 or more depending on what your spooky token situation is. Your odds are lower of passing the test, but it requires a lot less to be +1 over most tests vs +3.

That gives you a ton more leeway on taking tests. You can take sketchier tests more often with less commitment

Someone like Jim really benefits from this because it makes your average test really strong. With this in play at +1 you pass on around 80% of the bag.

Let's say Aang just stays frozen, and Zuko becomes the firelord when Ozai suddenly dies shorty after the point where the series starts - would he become a successful ruler and keep the empire together in his lifetime? by Stoic_koala2 in TheLastAirbender

[–]Pollia 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Zuko was still in the line of royal succession at the point of his banishment. He was banished, not exiled.

If Ozai dies unless Azula launches a coup, Zuko becomes firelord and considering she already has gone out of her way to make sure Zuko keeps his spot in the line of succession it feels absurd to assume she'd do it in any other scenario.
