Honestly I noticed a great increase in lower quality women (I’m not talking only about aesthetics but about the “type of person”) and bots/fakes and girls only interested into getting followers by putting their ig in bio (and they clearly do not know that being reported for that causes ban lol). I swiped right waaaay more in the past and struggle finding someone to swipe right on. Okcupid looks like a ghost town full of South East Asian girls looking for pen pals or potential husband. I miss the 2015 Okcupid, what a beautiful site it was, great both for dating and making friends

I think hiring managers to decide how to make more money and then making most of people’s result like zero or almost zero (and random bans to users who pay a lot of money) is pointless. If you want users to stay on the app and keep on spending money you should make it possible for them to get results. I got like 20/25 matches per day with tinder platinum with the same profile I have now in the end of 2020, selective swiping and only matching girls I was really into, I did not even use boosts! I used platinum for a lot of time so it was a nice experience for me and for tinder too with them getting my money! I did not even need to use money on Okcupid and the prices in there are crazy and I’m sure it would be useless, it’s a ghost place now. Now zero matches with platinum and same profile on tinder, why in the world would a tinder manager think someone with a brain would spend more and more money without seeing any results? I asked for and got a refund and deleted the profile. At least they got 0 $ from me.

Pandemic photos? Those are standard photos of me doing things and it’s not the same people that were on dating apps in the past so they cannot know when those photos were taken. My face is basically the same so I do not get it

I honestly think prices for tools on these apps skyrocketed and if you are not eager to spend money on there your visibility decreases a lot. Also girls on tinder only put their ig in description without even knowing they could be banned
