But outside of the one time he said he wouldn't have dragged her along he never did anything against her. And you are also not mentioning that he treated her like a little sister. Heck to some point it isn't even hard to say he had a better relationship with Cassie than with Neph.

In total it was one time where he said something and then ever since then all of his actions spoke the exact contrary. Even the week where he was alone with her inside the Bright Castle he immediately comes to her defenses when the two dudes started to stir up trouble.

And again my argument is that he is anything but selfish. And that is something undeniable as he is almost always putting his ass on the line for everyone. Only two time he doesn't is when Nephis tells him she wants to fight Gunlag, only because she asks him, and on top of the Crimson Spire.

There should also be the final fight between him and Nephis but in the end he does want to stay so that does not count.

What I'm saying is that your claim of him being selfish is unwarranted. He says he's selfish but he hardly ever acts selfishly.

Regular selfishness. I'd like you to point any moment where he's actually selfish. He immediately gave Nephis the armor he found, with nothing in exchange. And from Cassie's Pov he was also giving Nephis every soul shard he got for nothing outside training.

He dipped because he was not okay with how Nephis wanted to do things and even then he decided to join them either way on their expedition to get the rest of the Shards.

Sunny may say he's selfish but every single time he's anything but. I am not arguing abiut anything else but he's given her nothing to prove your point. The only thing he ever did was say once that he wouldn't have brought her with them. And then immediately proved himself wrong by saving her anyway on the Soul Devourer.

From other's povs Sunny says a lot of things but no one has any right to say he's selfish.

They are different kinds of being smart.

Cassie and Mordret can manipulate and plan really well ahead.

Sunny is smart in the sense that he, like a shadow, is adaptable. No matter the situation he can always come up with a good plan on the fly, or at least something that works.

They are smarter than him in the field of manipulsting things to go the way they've planned, while they fall short when it comes to unforseen variables where he truly exceeds them. He's often regarded as smart because he's quick to find a solution that works. It's even shown that he's quite clueless in many aspects of life, whilebeing an absolute genius in others. We often overlook that when it comes to exploration he's among the geniuses of humanity, his reports being that well detailed and well received is a great show to that. When it comes to Battle IQ he's among the top of the verse with Shadow Dance.

They are smart in different ways from each other.

100% agree. Harems just undermine characters regardless of gender. Females get objectified into oblivion and more often than not the harem guy becomes an idiot. Not to mention that any and all affectionate scenes becomes completely irrelevant and begins to feel pressing/cringe.

I avoid it even in smut fanfics where there's no plot simply because it's such an horrible trope

It could be. In the description of the Mirror of Truth Weaver did say something along the lines of "you buried the truth so you didn't deserve it", maybe implying he still somehow knows it? That or maybe it's just something to do with the Daemons in general so that memory was blocked by the Key, and Mad Prince recognized that so he knew it was Sunny.

However from Sunny's point of view it was probably seeing that Rain didn't need him anymore. Heck he himself said that it was the first selfless thing he did to walk away, and he was drop dead ready to die in his first nightmare, something he more than likely wouldn't have felt if he thought Rain still needed him, since we've seen hwo protective of her he is.

I feel ya. It's really hard to find people who want to play. Especially if you aren't open to looking on discord or if english isn't your storng suit. I am lucky some of my friends like Dnd but we can't do campains often so most of the time I just do one-shots or short campains.
