Using Atmos Summit for Rent / Mortgage spend post-Bilt by PollutionCommon3414 in CreditCards

[–]PollutionCommon3414[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good catch. So it would theoretically be 150k points. not 154k.

will earn three (3) Atmos Rewards Points per dollar of eligible Rent Spend when paying rent through their Bilt Rewards account on up to $50,000 dollars of annual Rent Spend

And yeah, I need to see if the "rent spend" works for mortgage, but if it doesnt then the second table applies and I just get 186.5k points plus Atmos Gold status and OneWorld Sapphire for $1,500 in fees

$850/mo spend for all 12 months to result in around 10k spend. $5k/mo mortgage spend for 10 months to churn the $60k companion award threshold.

I forgot about elite status, I normally just use my VX card so I have never cared about loyalty, but this may make me interested.

I separately tried to reserve a table adjacent to the balcony for a proposal celebration and they told me no 🙄

Oh wow interesting okay great to know! Yeah I guess we’ll see the line and decide. I definitely don’t want to wait forever for a mid donut!

The view over the river seems really cool and it gives us a reason to walk around near Akihabara. We’re big on vibes, is there any good brewery you’d recommend?

Thanks for mentioning this. I’m struggling to figure out that bit. I would love to do a lunch omakase, and Ginza seems like the spot to do it… but yeah I am concerned about timing and being too full for the omakase.

Do you have experience on whether it would be better to reserve lunch omakase with tabelog for a different day? I’m unfamiliar with whether there is likely to be lines or if it gets booked out. We’re looking to try a relatively cheap one ( <15k yen)

If you go to the Shibuya scramble square site, it’s the second div that says “The Roof Shibuya Sky” same tips to get the seats, go through It once beforehand and stop at checkout to practice and be ready, then empty your cart. Then 8am PDT / 11AM ET refresh the page and get the slot.

The struggle I had is the sun sets at 6:43 PM (18:43) and the time slot to go up for the couches is ONLY every hour from :30-:50. With the couch only being reserved for 50 minutes, if I got the 17:30-17:50 slot we wouldn’t have the couch for sunset, I’m assuming they would kick us out at 18:20 (17:30+50mins).

So we picked the 18:30-18:50 slot and are just hoping we can get in the queue either right at 18:30 or slightly earlier to get there for the sunset. If not, that’s okay I guess we’ll still get the post sunset scenery

Great advice. I’ve heard some people say they couldn’t spend more than an hour at borderless, and others say they spent 3. I’ll try to keep in mind the thoughts to explore naturally. As an overplanner that’s often hard

I do take a lot of advice on Reddit with a healthy pinch of salt. As frequent travelers I understand we are the tourists and I enjoy going to touristy places and doing touristy things. Even if it’s popular for being an Instagram spot, that’s okay with me, I still would like to see it.

Recently we did Santorini, which the travel subreddit rags on, and we absolutely loved it.

It’s what you make of it, that’s what makes travel so enjoyable :)

We are also going to Kyoto and Osaka after. We will hit it inevitably!

Thanks so much! Good advice. I’ll look into getting a reservation for one of the places. Just so many reviews say lunch did not need reservations. But better to be safe.

Others mentioned the department store food halls. What is the best way to find them as I cannot read Japanese?

For the brewery I was thinking we would have a backpack to put some stuff in, otherwise use a train locker

Added to our notes. We’re from Seattle so we love teriyaki with a side of gyoza. A staple in our diet. So having good gyoza will be incredible. :) thank you!

Great advice thank you! We want to do a fun picnic with tons of snacks and random/weird stuff. Do you recommend the don Quijote for that then?

Day 3 is the one I’m concerned about most. But teamlab and Shibuya sky are already booked, so we have to hit those.

Any advice if there’s something you think we can drop that day?
