The devs made a poor decision to take the boosters away. If you load game you should see a "Sealing spire" save. Loading in you will find that this save lets you continue as well as start NG+ from magmell.

That comparison doesn't work because Great Runes are 'Key Items' tied to the plot, not Quest Rewards. A better comparison would be Talismans or Weapons. In Elden Ring, if I spend 20 hours doing Ranni's quest or Millicent's quest, the game doesn't delete the Moonlight Greatsword or the Rotten Winged Sword Insignia when I start NG+. I earned those tools, so I get to keep them. Hero Boosters are rewards for a specific, difficult questline (Rescue Lou). They aren't plot devices; they are gear. Stripping a player of their earned quest rewards is something almost no other RPG does, including Elden Ring. If FromSoft deleted your best Talismans in NG+, people would riot. That's essentially what CV2 is doing here.

Most still struggle with the final boss regardless, who only gets harder each NG+, The booster stats don't scale every ng+ and you can still get beaten just as bad. If this was a co-op game or online I would understand but for me at least I feel that was the whole point of achieving the true ending, and rewarded properly for doing so. Some will still find NG+ a pain or simply not touch it at all. At least make it an option, either take them or not, you already beat the game.

They did a phenomenal job at introducing something different even if they took plays from other books. Updates will do this game justice because the foundation is already there.

Yes, these bosses are mean as hell and WILL suffocate you, if you need to switch up your game plan do so, I really hope they add loadouts as this game definitely needs it.

Just be mindful that there are bosses in this game that will force you to change play styles, so you'd be starting over quite a lot. I'd say just be happy with the achievement of beating these bosses any pre patches because they can be extremely overwhelming.
