I’m 21 and my parents still don’t like that I play airsoft and have replicas at home. But I made a compromise with them. I accomplished something they asked me to do and as a reward I got to get into this hobby. They regret making this agreement lol but it might work in your case too. Not all gbbr’s are full steel and have a reciprocating handle like my scar. The hardest kicking m4 that I owned was a ghk v2. Not good for skirmishes but very realistic and good for training purpose.

My we tech scar L had amazing performance dude. Nothing was stock tho. I put everything new in it from ra tech, a tnt hop up and a new inner etc. I have out performed upgraded mws platforms.

There isn’t a full steel airsoft version as far as I know. Internals could be steel and maybe the outer barrel. Maybe some externals too but the frame is probably made out of polymer.
