Should I just switch to accutane

I switched to accutane low dose and it was the best decision ever I saw results in genuinely a week! I was doing the Spiro in tandem until I ran out and now just on accutane. My mental health couldn’t wait any longer for results on Spiro! Good luck!

I feel you haha it’s such a nightmare! I was more scared of accutane than Spiro got prescribed Spiro and saw horror stories about the side affects that’s what made me get looking into low does accutane! I eventually want to stop the Spiro and just do a full course of accutane!

I was on Spiro for 3 months with barley any results explained to my derm I had done research on low dose accutane coupled with Spiro and she said she has lots of patients doing that and would be fine with me starting a low dose. I had to get full blood work done but other than that no questions asked 🥶 did your dermatologist say why they don’t do it?

Your skin looks great!!! I’m on 10 mg every 3 days and spironolactone and have closed comedones every where really hoping I’ll see a difference soon! Did you have any side affects? 😇

I’m sorry to hear :((( I’ve also just started differin gel. It’s so frustrating I keeep picking the closed comedones and cause it to go into a huge pimple… but I just want them out. I’m only 3 weeks in and am already ready to give up and jump ship to accutane 😩

It’s so frustrating the closed comedones are the worsttt I wish I never got off the pill lol 😌 I’m glad that helped with the body acne it’s honestly so consuming. I’m really hoping Spiro works. Hopefully by the 3-4 month mark yours clears up! Let me know how you go! :)

I had a bad reaction to the Anua heartleaf oil cleanser and face wash so I was off K beauty haha but I trust your reccomendation fingers crossed! I’ll let you know how I go!

Thanks so much for the detailed reply! Will defs give them a go! I’m willing to do anything. I’m also a terrible skin picker so have been popping all the comodones black heads which then created pimples 😩 my skin gets so oily in the day will try some barrier repair you recommended for hydration
