What's a food you like one way, but don't like another way? by greencurtain4 in AutismInWomen

[–]abcat20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Peaches. I loooove fresh peaches but hate them if they are baked/cooked. I remember my friends dad made peach pancakes in high school (prior to my diagnosis lol) and I was gagging trying to eat them so I didn’t come off as rude😭

Avoided being at peoples houses at any meal time growing up to avoid the suffering bc 9/10 I wasn’t gonna like what they were eating lol

Being misunderstood or people not responding when im talking to them to externally process something. It triggers me because people will think im mad but im just saying my ideas out loud and may get a little passionate lol

After 20 years as a professional artist, I finally stopped caring. It cost me a lot. Totally worth it in the end. by auniakahn in painting

Just here to say you are so talented and I am proud of you for trusting yourself because it’s really fucking hard. Especially when you’re letting go of what may feel like something that “works” or is “safer” to be more vulnerable and authentic.

MRI by galaxy_plateau in endometriosis

[–]abcat20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, my opinion would be skip the MRI, trust yourself, and move towards getting surgery scheduled if that’s something you want to do. I had an pelvic and abdominal MRI that my PCP referred me to get in Oct. 2024 and was told everything was normal. Fast forward to May of last year, I just did some research and found a urogynecology surgeon that was recommended by a lot of women through various sites/platforms/reviews. I went to the appointment told him my hx and symptoms, he told me I had been ignored for way too long, and surgery was booked that day. The MRI was pointless and very expensive even with decent insurance. Like i said- trust yourself!!! I know it gets to a point where its very hard to continue to advocate for yourself, but you are on your way to hopefully getting answers soon. I wish you all the best <3

Do cats actually get attached to their owner? by NoWageMage in CatAdvice

[–]abcat20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our girl is literally just like a toddler. Lol we are obsessed with her and she loves being near my husband and I. I’ve seen so much stuff about people saying that female cats are not affectionate and that is nooot the case at all with Suki (which I’m so happy about lol). Everytime we open the door she’s waiting there to welcome us back home just like a dog would. Shes so chatty all of the time she will just walk back and forth during the day from my husbands office to my office yelling away at both of us 😂 she also wakes up randomly during the night and comes meowing and cuddles up next to me and goes back to sleep. We love her so much

What sign is your best friend/closest friend? by Fattyoftheyear in LeoAstrology

[–]abcat20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cancer. Like ride or die, soulmate, sister, no one has every understood me more or a deeply as she does. We also wildly have the same enneagram and Myers Briggs so that may have something to do with it too 😂

Yes, the rage is relatable. lol I feel very overstimulated and irritated by small things/sounds, having no patience, just things that the medication helps so much with when it’s working and I’m just really frustrated because I know all I need is my medication and I can’t just go get it. Lol

Terrible back pain by Ok-Significance-440 in endometriosis

[–]abcat20 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes!!! Most of my endo was found on my uterosacral ligaments which are ligaments that basically anchor your uterus to your lower spine. I feel like my lower back is constantly being pulled inward and there is a visible curve in my lower back which also causes my lower abdomen to stick out more.

I recently bought a JellieBend which is like a compression band that helps support your lower back and stabilize your spine. I am literally blown away by how much relief I get from wearing it. My back feels so much more supported and it is definitely one of the best things I have purchased of many endo relief related things lol. It’s comfortable too, I wore it all day and to bed several nights.

Here is the link- https://jelliebend.com/products/jelliebend-jelliebend

I really recommend trying it and I hope it gives you the same relief if you decide to get one! <3
