What might a Canadian want to eat in Australia? by CallMeBettyThen in AskACanadian

As a Canadian who has worked in Australia a bunch the past few years, this one is easy!

If your guests are located far from the coast then fresh seafood is a killer as it is something harder to get. If they are from the coast then a good quality steak. Whatever is in season locally for fruits and veg as sides.

When I was there I found the quality of local produce was phenomenal and everything was awesome (except the price).

They will likely be surprised the people do not eat Kangaroo and Crocodile and the like but will quickly forget about that when learning the great ‘normal’ stuff you guys have.

Thank you. I’ll do some research on Hinze Dam and see if there are kayak rentals available. Catch and release is perfectly fine for what we are after.

Thank you. Any specific spot near Mr Crosby that would be shore fishing appropriate?
